Grab Handle Recommendations (not paracord)

I’m looking for some recommendations on the best grab handles for my 2 door Bronco. My wife is 5-1, and also has mild cerebral palsy, and she has a hard time pulling herself into the passenger seat. I bought a pair of the paracord grab handles from Amazon, but they didn’t work great for either of us. They hang too low for her to be able to pull herself up, and she also isn’t a fan of how much they move (since they’re fabric). They also don’t work great for me since I’m tall (6-3) and hit my head on them getting in and out of the vehicle.

I’m looking at replacing them with either one of the many rigid metal handles that don’t hang down at all, or the Mabett ones that are spring loaded and have lights installed. If anyone has any recommendations, I’d love to hear them. Thanks in advance!

I don't have a link, but I purchased solid metal grab handles on Ebay (cheap). Well made and sturdy. They came with some lame canvas velcro covers that I threw away and wrapped them (partially) with 550 paracord that matches the color of the interior. They look like they are OEM and are completely out of the way for me to get it (I am 6'3" 190lb and they hold my weight with no movement).

Those were in my final two choices. I went with the ones linked below because it seems like it places the handle slightly further forward. This matches where my wife naturally wants to grab on the roll bar. They should arrive today, and I’ll report back how I like them. They advertise as supporting 500 lbs, but I’m not sure I’d want to test that claim.

I have the handles jfrorie linked to. I liked them a lot before I added a sunshade. Now the sunshade basically rests on top of the handles so you scrape on the fabric when you grab them. Not a huge deal but kind of annoying.

I did these before they added the padded grip. I fixed that shortsightedness a day later. They are solid and work for 2 or 4door.

I bought these from Amazon for my 2 door. They are very sturdy and have no problem supporting my 220 lb ass. Also i can tell you that the ad says not for 2 door but they absolutely fit fine in the 2 door.

Installed these today, and like them a lot so far. They’re very sturdy, and they blend in quite well with the look of the vehicle. The location is right where my wife likes to grab. Only downside is I didn’t realize until after I received them that they aren’t compatible with the back seat of the 2 door. Had I known that, I wouldn’t have ordered the 4 pack.

I have the mabett ones with the interior lighting. They were too hard to pull down so I pulled one of the springs out and now they have just the right amount of staying power.

I have 4 of these. In the front you use their nuts, in the rear they screw into the top of roll cage. They are great.

Do you have a 2 door or 4 door? I felt around in my 2 door, and I couldn’t feel 2 holes that seemed like they’d line up for the handles in the back seat.
