Hello, this is my first post and I'm hoping to get some guidance from the Bronco Community on this.
I have a 2 door 2023 Wildtrak that I am starting to carefully modify. It is used as a fun daily driver but I also want to optimize it for occasional off roading in the sand dunes and various trails. Going to Moab with it for the first time this year but do not plan to do anything too crazy.
It seems like the the stock front sway bar is a limiting factor on the Wildtrak when it comes to off road articulation and comfort.
I want to maintain a great ride on road and avoid the liability of completely removing the front swaybar and I also don't want to mess with manually disconnecting it at the trails. I also want to avoid adding much weight and complexity. Currently the only real mod I have is aluminum rock sliders/steps and I plan to also add some additional lightweight skid plates to vulnerable areas and eventually some power mods/tuning etc.
From my research thus far I see 3 good options:
-Adding the factory disconnecting sway bar and wiring it to the upfitter switches. Seems to be the best of both worlds but adds some weight and complexity. How common is failure with these??
-Rockjock- seems to be a great option but it seems like it may rub on the Sasquatch tires which is my only hesitation and I don't plan to mess with swapping wheels or altering the suspension geometry in the near future.
-Carli sway bar- seems like this is simple, high quality and avoids the rubbing issue- I read some concerns however about how this design will hold up with corrosion (live in the midwest) and it also seems quite expensive for what it is.
Please let me know your thoughts and what you would recommend for these or other options. I could also just leave it as is but that seems boring and this seems to be an easy off road improvement.
Thanks in advance!!!
