Hi,
I was planning to use my Ford Pass Reward toward the Ford Performance Calibrator. The Ford website provides an installation guide that seems pretty straightforward.
To be safe, I called my local Ford dealer to confirm if any post-install work would be required. They strongly recommended that I have them handle the install, quoting $350 for labor on top of the $825 unit cost.
I also reached out to Ford Performance directly. The rep similarly advised that installation be done by either a Ford dealer or an ASE-certified mechanic, and said the warranty would only apply if installed by a certified tech.
Does this sound right to you? Seems odd to include a step-by-step DIY guide if warranty coverage requires professional installation. Would love to hear from anyone who DIY’d it and had issues or no issues with warranty...
Thanks
