That order guide appears to use Advanced 4wd as synonymous with as Sas package, just look at the Base trim. However in my21/22 (pretty sure other year as well) you could you could have a OB or BB(?) with the 190 front axle and Advanced 4wd (transfer case).
The SAS is listed in the Options section, separately from the driveline options.

I have my Badlands order. I really need to find the Black Diamond order. I think I still have it.

My 2 cents.
Put a $100.00 deposit on a 2 door base the day a reserve was offered.
Had to place 2 orders during the process to get what I ultimately wanted, despite the ability to get a 4 door soft top quickly. Finally received my New Bronco in August 2022.
2 door badlands, 2.7, Sasquatch, mid-package, HD modular bumper, with tow package all from the factory.
It’s been awesome and has everything I will ever need, well… almost.

I also have. 2014 F-150 with a rear locker. Its very capable, but nothing like the Bronco.

You're making me think. I vaguely remember exploring all the axle options back then. That's how I stumbled onto being able to order the Advanced 4WD without ordering a Sasquatch package. I was trying to figure out how to get a locking front differential.

The Badlands, even without the Sasquatch package is pretty amazing. I don't think I'll ever fully use it's capabilities.

Get the badlands sas with a front camera. Front camera is very useful on the trail and the sway bar disconnect smooths out the trail even more when you air down. There are plenty available if you can settle for used with very low miles. I saw several on cars.com in low 40s with less than 8k miles.

I gots a ‘24 Badlands, 2.7, HOSS 2.0 w/ heavy steering rack

Two things I noticed about where / how you’re driving, 1/ heavy snow - 4A is wonderful in snow and ice, especially with quality tires, 2/ not much rock crawling, mostly trails - I impact my skid plates more on rutted, uneven trails more than the moderate rock crawling I do

My 2 cents is Black Diamond with the 4A upgrade, but you’ll never not love a Badlands if that’s the way you go! Good luck

Edit: only ever needed my front lockers twice, happily use my sway bar disconnect every time I air down, love that feature
I still have some options locally for Badlands but they're all tied up waiting on the Bilstein Shock Recall or the dealers are asking outrageous prices for them even after sitting for a year, one that's 25 miles away is asking a full $57,000 on it, they didn't budge on the price at all. Another that's near me has 2 Badland 2 door's with the equipment I want, again waiting on the recall and the last time I called the dealer is telling me 5 people want the one that's on the showroom floor. So I fully expect him to tell me we have other people to sell it to and were not selling it for less.

Ideally being in Pennsylvania, I would really want one equipped with the 4A option. I might just have to accept waiting until later this year and ordering one, live without the 2.7L and get the 2.3L...

The Hitachi is the premium suspension with shocks that don't leak. And if you don't know if you need a front locker, then you don't need a front locker. (And probably you don't need a rear locker either.)
Excellent observation on the lockers!

Hello Chris & good luck in your decision making! As an owner of BOTH a BD & BL (2-doors), I’d say do yourself a favor and buy the BD.
I love my current BL’s (I run 35’s & Bilstein 6112’s) but if you’re not rock-crawling & needing every bit of clearance, the BD is a better choice & easily upgradable!
BTW, I’m in eastern PA (Fort Washington) so if you’re interested in hitting the trails let me know.

..and check-out John Kennedy Ford in Conshohocken! They sold me both at dealer invoice when most were paying $10k over MSRP!

The stand-alone 4A transfer case on the MY'23 and earlier BD only received the transfer case and not the m210 axle with front locker. The m210 w/ front locker was only included with the Sasquatch package.

There was no cheat code.

To the OP, the 4A transfer case is likely more desirable for your winter driving - though not necessary. If you are prioritizing features while staying under your budget target, then expand your search for a non-Sasquatch MY'23 and earlier BD with the upgraded 4A transfer case. Don't get hung up on the shocks. Easy and far superior upgrade options are available via the aftermarket.

Yep. If my BD has a front locker, they didn't include the locker button on my dash rail to activate it. I do have the upgraded transfer case as well. 🤷‍♂️

I have a 23 BD and wouldn't trade it for anything so far. I haven't explored off road very much, but that's coming for me. Just been a busy couple years.

edit: Been awhile since we looked at these order sheets, but wasn't the only stand alone locker option to add to a order for a rear locker on a Big Bend? I seem to recall a time where that was a stand alone option to do. I don't ever recall seeing that for a front locker though.

Big Bend and OBX both had an optional rear locker. Front locker was always locked to the Badlands and the Sasquatch package.

I ordered my 22 non sas BD with the 4A transfer case and couldn't be happier. I upgraded the shocks to Bilstein 5100, installed Walker Links and 33" KO2's. I originally was going to order a Badlands but something in the back of my mind says front lockers on IFS at least a Ford IFS is not a smart move!

There should be concern. Very limited use case and should be used with caution. Even at the Off-Roadeo, they caution the use of it. For most, they are better off not having it or at least forgetting they have it.
