Detailed and Ceramic coated the Raptor with Cerakote professional CC. Then pulled the tops off for the first time and drove down to Cherokee, NC to go bowling with the family at the casino. Grabbed a burger at Guy Fieri's Burger joint, then drove around some back roads to see how WNC is getting along with Hurricane Helene recovery. Very relaxing weekend!

Did some exploring, got stuck, got unstuck.

We used straps and a come-along but I'm really considering a winch. I've got the lux package so that gives me a bit of pause because of all the sensors.

Speaking of which, why don't the parking sensors auto turn off when you're in 4WD?

Snow is something our Bronco has never seen and probably never will. We’re older and generally wheel alone, so a winch was a must have along with other recovery gear. Used a Rough Country mount and a Warn 12k winch on our Badsquatch w/ Lux package. Had to modify the mount a bit to fit the winch, but no trouble w/ the sensors.

Before you buy a winch, think through how and where you intend to wheel. Experience has taught me that anything sticking out in front or below stock can be problematic depending upon the type of wheeling you do. We’ve been going to Sand Hollow or Moab the last several years and I can’t tell you the number of times the winch mount has kept me from climbing onto an obstacle. I see you have a modular bumper. IMHO itβ€˜s a great bumper and fits as high and tight as any you’ll find. I’ve seen folks on the forum install bumpers that stick so far out they’ve clearly reduced the capability of their rig In certain situations. Everyone’s needs are different, many choices out there.

Re: parking/proximity sensors, there’s a switch on the dash (several to the right of the camera switch) to turn them off when you want

Went on a car ride. Got breakfast in New Orleans. Then went to the swamp and stopped for lunch after a bit. Ate gator while seeing some visitors...

Headed back to town. Got a car wash.

Great day.

Idk, it’s heavy.
By the time I took off the heavy-ish TOR reinforcement and the stock metal bumper I’d guess I’m still heavy by 50 lbs with the new setup.
All in I’m at about $2100.
The sale does include the add-ons.
I ordered it bare, rounded a few edges a bit with my grinder and a flap disc, Epoxy primed and Raptor-lined it myself.
I ordered:
The bumper, swing out, Jerry can holder, flush fit lights, pull points cerakoted red, and the plug-n-play harness.

This is tempting me . . . πŸ˜– πŸ˜‚
but I'm always concerned about adding even more weight

Over Easter weekend I added a set of Oracle Oculus headlights and a set of the Dee Zee trail sight deletes. Happy with both so far!

Last week I did a 5 mi kayak race on the San Antonio River and then the next day drove 6 hours to Van Horn, TX to watch the Blue Origin rocket go from Bezos' Texas ranch from the highway. Gronco was great as a quick hauler and long-tripper. The roof mounts were great to tied down the front of the yak as I did not have time to get it all mounted before race time.

I finally got the Hooke Road full rack installed this week in time for summer trips!

FINALLY got the heretic studios 20" light bar in so I can start to install the rough country high winch mount and open road 13s panther winch on top. Planning for my Ozark national Forest trip next month!

Thanks for this insight. I like how tightly the winch fits on the front. Most of what I am going to be on is like the pics I shared, with narrow paths with lots of low scrub. So I'm not going to be hitting a lot of tight approaches but I still prefer the way yours looks.

Thanks!
