Extended Warranty in Florida

Reading through all the extended warranty threads and users paying ~$2000 for 10 years/100k miles, I was surprised to see that places like Flood won’t sell to Florida residents. Instead, they direct you to a Florida dealer and the price is double at nearly $6000. Does anyone know why they can’t sell to Florida residents? That price totally kills the deal.

Thank your state representatives that have passed a law that protects dealers. They don't represent you. They represent the money that contributes to their campaigns.

The good news is that you can still get a discount warranty through Granger. When entering your address, pick any address not in Florida. There is nothing sent to your address and the warranty is attached to the VIN not your address. The entire transaction is handled online and via email with docusign.

Yep. I live in Florida and have done it several times. I use my Sister's address out of state. She has never received anything.

Same. I use the address of my old house in Ohio.
