Florida Extended Warranty Monopoly

So in Florida, there is a state law that a warranty offered by one Ford dealer must be same as the next Ford dealer. A 100k mile Ford warranty was around $3400.

Being a part of this great board, I was aware of the Granger deal, called and got my quote, right around $1500 for equivalent. Brooke there was awesome over the phone. She sent contract. But called me back 1 minute later—-they can’t sell warranties to Florida residents, for reasons as mentioned above.

Did a Google search for Florida warranties, and it looks bleak. Does anyone have any ideas for this issue? Would like to keep this car for off roading in Utah in about 5 years. And the 2.7 has its issues. Thanks

The restriction is only that they can't sell the warranty "online/remote". One more reason to order and take delivery out of the state. If you are in person, the warranty can be sold at a lower cost for the same coverage.

How much is a round trip airline ticket? What about if you sign a power of attorney to someone who then purchases the warranty for you
