That doesn’t make sense if tariffs are not a factor in parts or production. What would the cause of price increase be, specifically?

If the price of your competition goes up, you have room to increase your margin and still remain competitive

When I spoke to the dealer, they told me that Ford has enough inventory on hand to get them through 90 days so, nothing built in that time would be affected. After that is when you would expect to see prices change.

So I’ve seen on here that folks are buying and dealers are discounting now to avoid tariff pitfalls.
My question is do they affect the (mostly) made in the USA Broncos? I know mine has the built in Michigan thing on it.
I would think they are exempt, and will be a better value when tariffs hit as opposed to foreign built vehicles.
Am I off in my thinking?

Difficult to say, but Ford Corporate is concerned for a reason. I ordered a 2025 4-door and rec'ed in last month (Mar) and this sticker was in the window.

In my opinion that could be totally true but the conspiracy theorist in me says it's more about marketing.

Everyone is freaking about tariffs and that the price of cars is going to double, triple, quadruple in the next 10 minutes therefore you need to buy one NOW. Hey, look at us we're giving you the same sweet heart deal we give our employees, buy now from us and avoid the dramatic price increases.

Just my take on it especially as what I'm reading here on this site is that employee pricing may or not even be better than what they were offering before. But now they can more easily market to the scared and we all know when you're scared you usually do stupid things like buy a new car you can't really afford to avoid a price increase that may or not even happen.

It's also a way for Ford to try to prevent any of its dealers from slapping on "tariff fees" or other ADM, which would be terrible publicity for Ford. They are trying to project normalcy and keep people buying, at a time when lots of people are hunkering down and delaying large purchases due to all the uncertainty. We'll see how it works over time, but it strikes me as a smart move on Ford's part.

I just joined the club a couple weeks ago. Got a 24 BRaptor with a hefty discount. I saw all the stuff about the Employee pricing and looked again to see if I left some cash on the table by not waiting...but discounts are already being pulled back. I got 22k off of my car and the best discount I could see right now on a Raptor was in the 13-15k range. From what I have read, discounts are going to go before they raise MSRP. If we do get tariffed at some point...it is going to hit Raptors with MSRP's approaching or exceeding 100k very hard.

This reminds me of 2009-2011 market crash, pretty sure we are self inflicting a crisis. As factories shut down its a double edge sword since the worker stop spending. I see the price of new vehicles dropping out as people sell used vehicles to get out from under the debt.

I remember people trading in a vehicle with equity and a payment for something less costly. Remember those $9,999 Kia and $14,999 Hondas still sold well through the last recessions. The $1000 car payment trend is about to disappear.

Tariffs independent of the economy will increase prices. I’ve read 1.5% higher inflation is expected. The big question is when will the recession hit and how hard. If it’s fast, there could be an inventory glut and buying opportunity. Slow and Ford will have time to ramp down production, lay off workers and such. That part is impossible to predict.

I read the recession is expected in the back half of 2025, which would be the slow route. Nobody really knows though, no country has intentionally started a recession before. This leaves everyone guessing. Maybe we avoid a recession, but that seems unlikely from what I’ve read.

Ford offering company pricing indicates they fear an inventory glut In my opinion.

I forget the source, but I read somewhere yesterday that a recession is projected at about a 50% chance.
