Staggered pattern? Broncos only have two doors, right? ...right? 😂
I'm just happy that my 2dr has half as many window problems as those other guys:)

I've seen these threads before, and I still don't understand why people would want this "feature".....Sounds great when it's raining out to pop all the windows open upon unlock so water dumps in.....

Having this feature really makes no difference to me. But if i did want it, I don't think a little water is going to hurt anything.

In his YT video @RagnarKon made the point that it was helpful when numerous people opened their doors (e.g., a family with kids) and the non-Bronco savvy ones didn't wait for the windows to drop. I thought it was a cool feature, but when I followed his YT tutorial I apparently installed the PDM and DDM modules that removed the feature (by the time I got to it Ford had removed that feature from being upgraded). Meaning I just reinstalled what I already had! I'm thankful I was working on another project, as well and didn't waste the money spent on the 2-day FDRS license.

(Edited to add: When I messaged RK about this, he did confirm that this feature had been pulled. Which was a bummer. Cool feature and the YT vid was excellent. As are all his vids!)

No explanation from Ford as to why the flip-flopping (insert cat in sandal .gif here).

So I appreciate @Ducati1098 posting this thread. I will be using FDRS for some new projects in the near future and will try the PDM and DDM once more to see what happens (I have a MY24). 🤞

I unlisted the video that @Sojourner mentioned after Ford pulled the update, but in case folks wants to see what the update does (or did):

It sounds like the 2025 version of this feature also works with the proximity locks? Maybe? Not sure, but the one I have does not. (Edit-- Just kidding, re-read the first post and they don't mention intellegent access.)

So sorry for the stupid question, but, if it’s only available on MY25 and the short batch of late 23’s I assume that means it won’t be offered in any over/air updates.

However, if the hardware (modules) are the same wouldn’t it be possible for my dealer to do the update/reprogram if he was willing?

No information suggesting that this will ever be released again for previous model years, OTA or otherwise.
There is no update or software to make it work even if you went to a dealer. Ford removed the update that used to make it available to certain Broncos that did not come with it from the factory.

For added context... It was an available update for most 4-Door Broncos at one point (such as my 2022), but Ford pulled the update because it was causing other unintended issues for a handful of folks.

Dealers cannot pick and choose which version of firmware to install, they can only install what is presented to them within FDRS (the dealership software). If the updated is pulled it effectively disappears from the software and cannot be installed.

Got ya. Thanks.
I seem to do fine without it but since my passenger window is slow to drop and has a pretty bad “flop” it might be a nice feature sometimes.
Thanks

If misleading people is the goal, you’re doing a bang up job lately. I can’t deny you’ve been helpful but this thread and your work on the 4A thread are not stellar.
Dude, your way out of line. Ducati1098 works at ford and goes out of his way to help anybody with questions and parts information. I don't understand what was misleading. Anyway, Thank you Ducati 1098 for all that you do for us Bronco owners

I’ll be honest here. I did not read all five pages of the posts.

my vehicle is a early build (January 2) 2024 badlands with the Lux and leather package.

As delivered, the doors all nudged down perfectly fine when you slightly pulled the door handle or use the key fob or used the unlock button inside the vehicle

In November 2024, they did an update to the software and the windows got all wonky and the drop-down did not work consistently

Fast-forward to Friday, February 15, 2025. A software update occurred and my windows now have resumed their as built function. They all drop down slightly when I pull the door handle or use the key fob Or interior unlock button

I had to go out and just check, but all four of the window windows do roll up in sequence - one door at a time just like it mentioned was unique to the 2025 models.

Don’t know what to say but my 2024 appears to have the software for the windows that’s described in the original posts.

go figure🤷🏻

Out of curiosity I went out and checked my 2024 WildTrak (build date 11/24).

The windows only drop when grabbing the handle. They do not drop when unlocking with the fob. I am fine with them working the way that they do as that is what I am used to with my other two cars.

I also don't believe I have any updates pending.

Yeah same thing.
Some older models have it, some don't, some had it and then it was removed... it's a mess lol
If you currently have it, and you like the feature, I would highly suggest that you never update your DDM or PDM because it will likely take it away.
Yup, I had it on my 2023. There was a software update and it took it away.
I miss this feature 😔

I fucked up and let it update. I’m worried about passengers shattering a window now. I would usually hit unlock before people opened the doors.
They're not going to shatter the window by opening it. Hell it takes work with a hammer or other object to shatter that glass.
