I would be hesitant of this design. A single bolt in the upper and lower hinges don’t seem strong enough. I suspect this is why other options utilize the hinge bolts also.

Any true & honest feedback of this support? Not promoter garbage.
There certainly appear to more "sturdy" options than the the buckle up device. I've noticed Turn Offroad has two variant flag mounts, both of which have only an upper and lower bolted attachment, one is for slow speeds, one states it can hold a flag at highway speeds. But it's not holding a heavy object.

What I know is the center mount is threaded into the heavy duty hinge, so it will have some strength to it.

i mean i did that yesterday but. just call your dealer see what they say. He said it was unknown if they had any in the warehouse because it was even hard for him to find inventory in their system. "maybe because it's too new or their system is having issues"
Okay so update. I called back to San Tan Ford (Gilbet, AZ) today and he said they're still not in the system; showing up not available. So the order he said with my name on it is... perpetually impending? So... man I want it for that price but I can't wait forever.

btw for those of you that install this already how do the rubber bumpers remove and reinstall in the new hinges?

Mine just popped out. There's two little nubs that go in the holes on the hinge.

i finally got mine in. Its been sitting at the dealer for 3 weeks and no one knew about it. I opened it up and inspected everything. It looks like I got a good one. I went ahead and chased all the m8 holes out, they for sure needed it. I went aheaqd and chased the M6 center holes as well, just in case i use them in the future. My question is, why does one hinge have M6 holes on the top and bottom, and the other doesnt? I was reading the install instructions and it wasnt mentioned that the hinges are different. Any Ideas?

Just my 2 cents but I would consider trying to order through Lethal Performance. I think they have a B6G discount on top of their $232 price. The caveat is their shipping costs, so will put you close to retail depending on specifics.

But given some of your other issues may still be advantageous. When I spoke to them 2-3 weeks back they didn’t have any in stock but was expecting some.

Ultimately I gambled on my FP reorder before abandoning this option after learning more about some of the shortcomings of the brace. I ordered a Turn brace instead which arrived Monday and waiting on me to install. It cost more but not much more than the FP one as I had some built up credit/discount with those guys.

They’re a little finicky to get out, some tweezers will help. I forgot to move them over until after install, but popping them in was the easy part.

I am about to remove my silver Bronco emblem. Assuming I don’t break it removing do you have any interest in it? Granted you would need new 3M adhesive.

I received my kit Friday after picking it up from my local dealer.

I too am having issues with the 2 holes on the left side of the top and bottom hinge. Sadly the bottom hinge started to take the bolt but then seized up and now cannot be removed. The top hinge left side bolt will not thread at all.

I have sent an Email to [email protected] which is the tech support Email and will follow up with a call.

It seems they have some QC issues with these hinges and makes me feel a bit better it isn't just me but seem to be worse off than others who were able to chase the holes.

Hopefully others see this posting and can check the exoskeleton holes before installing the whole kit.
Have you resolved your seized up bolt issue?

I am having a similar issue. I ran a tap through the hinge bolt holes prior to installation because they looked buggered up. Anway, the four bolts that hold on the door reinforcement plate installed with no problem. I needed to make a small alignment after installation of the spare tire. I wanted to gain access to the hinge to door fasteners. I attempted to remove the door reinforcement plate. This is when I discovered my issue. The lower right bolt only came out about .5 turn and then seized up.

Thank you.

I am a dummy so please help. What fasteners are you using to install the plate to the hinges and where did you purchase them? Thank you.

My hinges, bolts and exoskeleton were replaced. Cutting the exoskeleton off was a giant pain. There is metal running through the plastic. I used a rotozip to cut around the bolt hole.
