@kevin.gt here you go.

Can you take a top down and side angle picture? Curious how much clearance there is between the bar and the winch to see if it'll fit around the HF apex
Measuring from just below the grill letters to the back edge of the bar is around 7 1/4". May be a little more but not much.

And the side views. A little harder to get a measurement but from the bumper to the bottom of the horizontal part of the bull bar is around 5 1/2".

I was pleasantly surprised by how well this fit on the Smittybilt winch.

Goo Gone is THE lighest possible approach - you are on the right track.
Goo Gone is not a light touch... Has been known to cloud some clear coats... Use Isopropyl Alcohol instead. It dries out the adhesive so it can be wiped off and evaporates with NO residue. Wax immediately after to protect.

You don't need lockers especially the front for such a hill climb. That front locker has it's own caveats. It should be used sparingly and only when needed.
Why should I use the front locker sparingly?

Because you do not want to create bind and break stuff.... Only use the front locker when absolutely necessary and then immediately unlock it... Otherwise things break.

Stuck some 315/70r17s on my stock BD with 17x8.5 +18 offset with no rub on anything. Definitely a step up from the 265/70r17s and it feels well planted now.

My next goal is a bilstein 5100 lift, but I’ve been doing a lot this past week between the lights, bumper and tires, so I’ll wait a month or so before going down the lift rabbit hole.

Also, it makes it harder to steer, and if you are doing anything very technical, steering is something you will want to be able to do.

That straight hill you went up would be fine. 😁

Finally got around to installing some bash plates. I went with Talons Garage Bronco full underbelly package.

Succinctly, what Joe said.

But a little in depth - The front differential is on the driver's side. The driver's CV axle connects directly to the FDU side gear via splines. Because the location of the FDU, there is an intermediary shaft that bridges the gap between the FDU and the passenger's cv axle. The CV axles connect to the wheel hub with more splines. When wheeling with the front locker engaged, the splines are under a lot of strain especially when the locker is continuous and with varying steering and throttle input.

Worst case scenario is that you no longer have 4WD as you have sheered off the splines of the CV axles and/or the intermediary shaft. Best case scenario is to selectively and sparingly engage and then disengage the front locker.
