Okay kids, light it up....

I've had for than a few people say to me "Thanks for buying a 2-door Bronco".... Yeah, 4-doors ain't Broncos. Deal with it.

I know, the 4-door trucks and Jeeps... and?

How about the SUV Lambos, 4-door Porsches, battery-"Mustangs", or my fav, the automatic transmission everythings. If you mentioned that stuff in the day you might as well been drinking a "raspberry-flavored, or maybe peach if that is more your style, beer".

I know, in 1975 you were all thinking 4-door Broncos were coming. Sure, tastes have evolved; but the one taste that hasn't is car company's desire to sell as many cars as they can regardless of how lame they are (stats are welcome here). See above.

I remember, again, back in the day, when Ford was going to get rid of the Mustang.... most V8 clowns didn't realize that it was the 4-banger at 90HP which kept it alive in the first place. (My '93 now does 550+ torque in a 3000lb car, but who's counting.....My '91 2.3 was probably the slowest yet most fun car I've ever had.)

Ford should never have made a 4-door Not-Bronco and let the dead lie.

I REALLY wonder how many of you would have bought a Bronco if it was a 2-door only. Ford obviously crunched the #s and said, "Not enough!".

But I know they're wrong.

I think we all know that the 4 door outsells the 2 door by a wide margin. They would not have reintroduced the Bronco without a 4 door version. It's a combination of expected sales, crash tests, government regulations and tax relief
which is the main reason 2 doors disappeared in the 1st place. Enthusiasts alone can't keep a car company afloat. All you have to do is look at Porsche, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Rolls Royce, and Bentley. They have strong histories and loyal customers but they all had to make SUV's to be able to survive.

One of my IH Scouts had a 4 cylinder. And a 3-speed stick. That thing would go anywhere.
I had a XJ with 105 HP that thing would also. But that doesn't take away from the fact that a "Real Bronco", has never been offered with a 4 cylinder.

A lot of people wanted a 2 door but were impatient and switched to a mini van because of delays...

I would not have even considered the Bronco if it wasnt offered in a 2 door. I have owned 2 K5 Blazers and a 2 Door Tahoe. Chevy sucks and doesnt offer anything cool like that so when I saw the Bronco announced in 21 I was super excited. Never was a Wrangler fan so this was awesome. I was actually kinda excited when I heard the Blazer was coming back but then super disappointed when it was yet another crossover.

Many 4-dr owners hate the criticism that is levied by 2-dr owner at them. Despite most of it being in good fun, some take it personal. You couldn't let dead dogs lie. So all 4-dr owners who take the prodding personal in this thread, be sure to hold one of your own responsible.

Would have preferred a 2dr but couldn’t make a deal happen like I could on the 4. I thought I would regret it but I don’t. 1ft shorter wheel base than my taco was so it’s still a win on trail. If 2dr was even a tiny less on price or had more availability I would have done it.
