Okay kids, light it up....
I've had for than a few people say to me "Thanks for buying a 2-door Bronco".... Yeah, 4-doors ain't Broncos. Deal with it.
I know, the 4-door trucks and Jeeps... and?
How about the SUV Lambos, 4-door Porsches, battery-"Mustangs", or my fav, the automatic transmission everythings.
If you mentioned that stuff in the day you might as well been drinking a "raspberry-flavored, or maybe peach if that is more your style, beer".
I know, in 1975 you were all thinking 4-door Broncos were coming. Sure, tastes have evolved; but the one taste that hasn't is car company's desire to sell as many cars as they can regardless of how lame they are (stats are welcome here). See above.
I remember, again, back in the day, when Ford was going to get rid of the Mustang.... most V8 clowns didn't realize that it was the 4-banger at 90HP which kept it alive in the first place. (My '93 now does 550+ torque in a 3000lb car, but who's counting.....My '91 2.3 was probably the slowest yet most fun car I've ever had.)
Ford should never have made a 4-door Not-Bronco and let the dead lie.
I REALLY wonder how many of you would have bought a Bronco if it was a 2-door only. Ford obviously crunched the #s and said, "Not enough!".
But I know they're wrong.
