Bilstein 6100 Installed on 2DR Badlands Sasquatch

Has anyone installed the 6100s w/ the Eibach Pro Lift springs? That combo looks like a good match.
I've got 31k on my 2D SAS and don't want to reuse anything.

‘21 Two Door OB Sasquatch V6 w/o Tow Pkg. Modular front bumper and Badlands rear bumper added after factory, no other mods.

Found the fronts new for $86 each and the rears new for $210 each. Installation including spring swap and alignment was $800 in Southern California.

Before 6100s installed: 1.25” rake
After 6100s installed: 0.25” rake

The rear dropped about 0.5” and the front went up about 0.5”.

Wow...That’s a fantastic deal for the 6100 parts! Would you be willing to share where you were able to find them at that price?

More importantly, how’s the ride and handling vs the stock SAS Bilsteins so far? I’ve been thinking about upgrading on my 4 door setup.

Amazon shipped direct from Bilstein, when I ordered it said only 2 in stock, after I checked out I looked again and they had plenty but the price went back up to over $200. Thought it could be sketch but no issues.

The ride is like others have said, it’s pretty much the same as Sasquatch but a little stiffer, less nose dive, less sloppiness in corners. I had hoped it would help with washboard roads, but unfortunately it’s still a two door in that regard.

Got these installed this week—purchased from Shock Surplus. I didn’t want to do anything crazy, I’m on assignment in Chicago so I haven’t been living off-road sadly. My goal was a slight lift and reducing some of the nose dive and other less than ideal ride dynamics.

Short review; if you’re looking for something you’d describe as OEM+, this is the move. The ride is better than the stock sas suspension. Firmer, not harsh but it soaks up bumps, high speed turns have no body sway, and braking has no nose dive. Solid, solid package.

Circlip position pictured is #4 f/r which is a slight lift over stock; +1” f/+.7”r.

There’s a little rake still until the rack and other summer camping stuff goes in the back.

For the record, these pics are on the factor 35s?

Thanks for posting. Trying to figure out my next move to regain height and stiffness after the Warn winch install.

Just installed the winch pkg. Lost about 1/2" of lift. What did you end up doing to get back to stock height?

3 things from this post.

1. Amazon does occasionally put a set of 6100s on super sale directly from Bilstein. I got my rears for $178. The boxes were destroyed, but everything else was gtg.

2. The Vevor clam shell spring compressors work good, you just have to grease the body and watch that cotter pin in the bottom. We've used them several times now.

3. I've also considered adding the Eibach Pro Lift springs to the 6100s for a bit more spring rate, (I would lower the 6100 a bit) but thus far the stock springs have been gtg. I wanted to keep as low a center of gravity as possible but yet clear 37s. I went position 4 all way around. Just a little rake and clears everything.

Just installed the winch pkg. Lost about 1/2" of lift. What did you end up doing to get back to stock height?

Hey man, sorry for the slow response. I have not done anything yet. That said, I will probably be going with Bilstein 6112 up front. I believe the part number is 47-325586.

Did you guys do any testing if the CVs bind at full droop when applying the max ride height?

The 6100 shock length is the same as the stock Bilstein shocks. Full droop will not change from OEM

I finally installed my 6100's last week. I chose circlip position #3 for both front and rears. I am using stock, SAS springs with this installation. I am coming from stock non-SAS badlands setup (with 2 blown rear shocks).

It's hard for me to do apples-to-apples as my suspension was compromised the last few months. I will say this; I find the 6100's to soak up bumps better than stock. I find the lateral sway and front-and-back movements to be more pronounced; not less like other reviewers. Basically my setup feels softer, soaking up bumps better, but does not provide more confidence in cornering, braking, etc. I'm good with it and getting used to it.

What was your overall investment in this path? I'm curious how this compares financially to the Ford Racing Fox package. I think I will be getting new Bilstein stock shocks as part of the recall, as per the dealer explanation on corrosion found. If I end up with just the repair solution, I'm much more interested in other options like the 6100s or Fox setup. Probably would hold off if I get new shocks.

I acquired new SAS springs and Bilstein 6100's. Not sure about the price, but the going rate. I think all in I was under $1.5K.

I’m in clip 5 front and back. I got about an inch of ground clearance in the back and 1.5 inches in the front. Measures 41 inches from ground to fender in back and 40 inches front. So an inch of rake. 6112s with Bilstein springs. I did have clip 6 in the front and 5 in the back for less rake, but it felt weird and cornering wasn’t great and front end felt floaty.

Got the same. Love it. Left half of the 1” leaving kit to address the rake.
