I had Discount Tire put new 35 inch KO2s on my non-Squatch Badlands today, and this weight on my right rear looks completely excessive? The tape weights are almost 180° off from the crimp weights. seems like that could be an issue? Should I take it back and have them rotate the tire from the wheel and rebalance it?

By the way, this what a +25 wheel with standard flares looks like. No lift yet but I’ll probably go with Eibachs soon enough.

That's impressive. Are the wheels new? Or are the tape weights left over from the last tires?

These aren’t new wheels and I can see where the old tape weights were, and there was probably three or four of them about 3 inches from these tape weights

Take that wheel back and have it checked and rebalanced if possible to determine whether the wheel is at fault or the tire.

My new Toyo 37x13.5x17 AT3 tires on RTR wheels weigh ~105lbs. Looking at my spare, it has an astonishing (1) of those small 1/4oz weights, nothing else. The truck Is perfectly smooth at speed.

Also, the tires may have a red dot on the outer sidewall which a good shop will align with the valve stem on the wheel for easiest balancing...

Looks "normal". I think I got half bag ( 1 Gallon ziploc one) of these from a set of wheel before I sold them. KO2 is hard to balance...

KO2 is notoriously hard to balance. If it rides smoothly with no vibration you’re good to go.

Nice! My Maxxis 37s on Sas beadlocks rode pretty decently with no balance at all. 120lb of rotating mass. I added 2.5 oz of beads to each wheel and they are smooth as glass now.

I've posted this on here before. I started with 35" MT Baja ATs from Discount, after taking back 6 times to balance, and 2 warranty replacements, I took it to a wheel shop. They said it was the worse balance they've ever seen, one wheel had 28oz of weights, same wheel balanced at 3oz. My new 37s from there aren't balanced right(about what I expected), waiting for new rims and taking them my wheel shop. Take it somewhere else, you'll save a lot of time and headache.

K02's balance like crap and tend to have very high road force. The weights being 180 off doesn't mean anything the clip on is on the inside lip the tape is on the outside lip. Most likely they have high road force causing balance issues. I'd get the tires road forced and see what they're at. At my dealership I've balanced a lot of ko2's and ko3's and seen a lot of them that are just bad.
