What's your most under-used feature?

I have a hard time understanding why people hate ACC but love standard cruise control. Ever since started using cruise control in the 1970’s I had wished for ACC. I don’t get how someone Wouldn’t want to be able to pace the car in front of them without having to constantlygo between brake and accelerator!

I was bewildered by that prior comment, too. The only thing I can think is they didn't learn how to use it and they don't know how to adjust the following distance so it's either too far or too close for their preference.

What I really like about adaptive cruise control is I can set it for my highest "wish" speed and if traffic is too slow for that speed, it keeps me in the flow, but once it opens up, it speeds me up automatically.

Once I learned the distance I need to change lanes before it starts slowing down (for example, when I'm in the right lane and coming up on a semi and want to get in the left lane to pass), I rarely need to mess with the accelerator or brake on road trips. It makes getting to the fun places a lot less tiring.

I live in deer country, so I hate pacers, if you are driving fast enough to catch up to me, you are capable of going around. I live in a rural area, and don't deal with heavy traffic. I have a preferred speed, too, but I'm more likely to get stuck behind someone until they pull over to the right (if they do). Heading to Moab or other fun places means plenty of places where there are only one or two lanes in each direction. If I need to speed up to pass, when I'm done, the Bronco goes back to my set speed. Even when I'm not in the passing lane, there's no downside because it's keeping me at my preferred speed until I catch up to someone and need to go around them. So I see it not as pacing any car but not having to constantly adjust to their variable speed while I'm waiting for the opportunity to pass.

understandable. In metroplexes… you can’t always pass. Especially in rush hour traffic.

my only gripe… is when it’s time to get back up to your “wish“ speed… sometimes it can take forever And I have to help it get there faster! Lol

I Agrees, and some of us can’t tell because we ruined our hearing in the 70’s and 80‘s going to rock concerts and being on the front row!

plus…. He obviously doesn’t travel to places where there is no cell reception, no internet, and no FM radio! If you want music, you better have it on a thumb drive, or downloaded to your phone or have Sat radio.

Yeah up here about 10 miles out of town there is no cell, no internet, and sketchy FM --or a bit further north Canadian stations for your listening pleasure.

Ha ha, usually when we are having the most fun is when the SOS icon is at the top of the phone.

I own all of my music rather than stream it, so I typically have about a thousand or so of my favorite songs available to listen to. It's the triple bonus of not having to pay for one or more streaming services, not having to listen to commercials and only hearing songs I like.

BTW, for those who own their own music, I highly recommend creating a smart playlist with rules similar to this:

Last Played is not within the last 12 months
Media Kind is Music
Rating is greater than
And a set of rules of either: "Genre contains" or "Genre does not contain"

to weed out categories like Christmas music or other genres you may not want, or to only include specific categories you want.

What you end up with is a list of songs you love to hear but haven't heard in a while. Play that on shuffle mode and it's like being rewarded with only great songs you forgot about.

It's too bad there isn't a feasible way to tap into the power of the rear wiper. It's not like the two would be used at the same time and I'm sure the LEDs don't draw any more current. That would have been more elegant than running a wire to the cigarette lighter adapter on the passenger side. But obviously, the rear wiper is only getting power when the switch is activated.

Not sure this is a feature but turning 2H back on using goat mode dial after turning on sport mode. Didn't read 15 pages sorry if it's been mentioned.

I don't want to "pace the car ahead of me" he is "in my way". I'm going to cut cruise, and then pass first chance I get.

If traffic is so heavy that there is constantly traffic in your way, you probably shouldn't be using cruise control.

Eco Mode

WTF? If I was worried about MPG then I wouldn't have bought any Bronco including my Base 2.3 MT

I have definitely found Eco mode to not be so Eco and more of an unnecessary delay in acceleration. Normal or Sport for me when on pavement. I've used all the other G.O.A.T. modes while off road and not embarrassed about it!

Least used: Full naked top off. (this used to be most used) However, since installing the TrailRax Modular Roof Rack (TRMR), I've yet to take the back (a.k.a. clamshell) portion of the top off. I'm trying to figure out how to do so while the rack and top remaining as a unit.

trail turn assist, worse I gave up on the 7 speed to get it I also wanted the V6 which when i ordered precluded the 7 speed . I have used it a couple times for more than fun... trees .. .. I do like the one pedal for a lot of things , mostly driving in traffic.....
