I will say, the combo added quite a bit. Not so much in balls out performance, but daily driving is noticeable. Has more "umph" in the low and mid-range. I'll share more details soon.

Also, @Migo added the combo to his Bronco, so I'll let him chime in. Once you give time for the ECU learn it, the difference is noticeable.

Nice. Curious, what kind of mpg’s do you get with your setup?

I'm not sure you wanna know -lol

Right now, I'm averaging around 12-13 MPG with the E85 tune. I suspect on the 93 tune, I'd be around 15-16 MPG. It's been months since I've been on the 93 tune ;)

I 100% agree with @MWILD . I installed the throttle body on it's own first, and then the manifold after (simply due to when I ordered them and me being impatient). While I did not notice much difference with the throttle body alone, when I added the manifold and gave the ECU time to adjust to both mods, I was very impressed. Definitely made a difference, particularly noticeable in my daily driving.

If you are going to install both the throttle body and manifold, I would absolutely recommend doing them at the same time. Not the end of the world if you don't, but you will save yourself a ton of time.

@MWILD and @Ducati1098 have been incredibly helpful with my quest for more HP. Sadly, I have pretty much run out of power modifications, other than upgrading the Turbos. Time to enjoy the drive I guess!

I have a very similar setup to @MWILD and am on a 93 tune. I am getting 15-16 MPG on 35's.

Looking forward to the video. I pulled the trigger on the intake and throttle body, so it will be interesting to see what I'm getting myself into. I don't think anything can be as bad as downpipes. Want to do this install before I move forward with ZFG's set up. In fact I was going to order the stage 0 before I saw this thread, so I don't want to start that process just yet.

Sweet! You’re gonna love the way your Bronco feels after all the upgrades and tune. The intake install isn’t bad. The primary tool you will need is a tube pliers. It can be done without them, but makes it much easier.

The video is done, I’m just waiting for GPE to send me a link to their website.

Oh that is funny. There are places to spend power modification budget that you have not discovered yet grasshopper:)

Thanks! Holding up great. I have 40K miles on it, so I plan to do a full flush soon, just to keep it going strong. Stock these transmission are safe to operate up to 520-530 WTQ. Anything beyond that, you’ll need better clutches. This is per my tuner, who tunes a ton of Explorer ST’s with 10R60s.

Bronco6G friends,

Some of you may have seen me post 0-60 & 1/8 mile times throughout this forum, but figured I would start my own thread. Wanted to have a place to post my ongoing results as I add more performance mods to my Bronco. Why do this? I mean, it's an off-road vehicle, not a drag car; right? Well...I do it because It's fun and I enjoy seeing what I can eke out of this platform and the little 2.7L engine. I’m all about making a quick off-roader :)

My Bronco is a 2022 Big Bend Sasquatch 4DR Soft Top with the mid package. It has the modular front bumper, added factory skids plates, NFab rock sliders, and ACFab shock skids. In a nutshell, I have no plans to make my Bronco lightweight as I do wheel the vehicle and put the added protection to use.

View attachment 621617

Here are my current performance modifications:
  • HP Tuners MPVI3 w/ZFG Racing Custom Tune
  • CV Fabrication Intercooler
  • CV Fabrication 3" Cat back Exhaust
  • CV Fabrication 3" Catted Downpipes
  • CV Fabrication Charge Pipes
  • Injen Evolution Cold Air Intake System - EVO9301
  • Turbosmart Kompact EM VR19 Dual port BOV
  • NGK 95605 plugs gapped to .028
  • BMS Pedal Tuner
  • J&L Catch Can
Completed Modifications:
  • Injen cold air intake - Installed 1/1/24 (Upgraded from S&B Air filter)
  • CV Fabrication Intercooler Installed 1/28/24
  • Turbosmart BOV (Plumb back) Installed 1/5/24
  • RaceChip S model (Install on top of ProCal) Installed 1/13/24
  • NGK 95605 plugs gapped to .028 Installed 1/28/24
  • 3" CV Fabrication Cat back exhaust - Installed 2/20/24
  • HP Tuners w/ZFG Custom tune - Installed 2/28/24
  • CV Fabrication Downpipes - Installed End of April
  • CV Fabrication Charge Pipes - Installed 6/05/24
  • J&L Catch can - Installed 6/10/24

With just the S&B air filter and using 88(E15) or 93 octane I would consistently hit 0-60 in the 6.5-6.7 sec range. When I added 6 gallons of E85 for a E30-ish mix, I would drop down to 6.3s and 1/8 mile in 9.46s (would be closer to 9.39-9.40, but let off too early)

6.3.jpg
9.46.jpg

Today I installed my Ford ProCal device and managed to drop my 0-60 to 5.69s. This was with 93 octane. I also did the 1/8th in 8.99s and 60 ft in 1.95s (Faster than my old 93 Mustang 5.0 w/FBO 😁)

The Bronco now wheel hops off the line in 4A...wasn't expecting that.

All runs done in Sport mode + 4A + ATC off + 2nd gear launch.

8.99.jpg

Still have Palm Beach Dyno in my sights :)

They were able to achieve 0-60 in 5.34s. This was in a 2021 WT with the top, spare and doors removed + JB4 @ Map 4 with E30 + Exhaust

PBD leader.jpg

Video from PBD showing how they achieved their 5.3s run.

[UPDATE 1/7/24]

Installed Injen CAI and Turbosmart BOV and ran again.

Did my 0-60 and 1/8 mile with the addition of Injen CAI and Turbosmart BOV. No real improvement flat out, but in day to day driving I noticed a solid improvement in midrange power. I ran it a few times and the were all pretty similar. Think i’m gonna need more boost plus an intercooler for it to make a substantial difference.

[UPDATE 1/13/24]

Today I’ve been driving around with the RaceChip set to level 3 and the Bronco feels great. I decided to give this setup a run since I had a nice piece of road away from civilization.

This time I launched the Bronco in 4H instead of 4A. The launch was more violent and I experienced more wheel spin, though it still pulled hard off the line. Think I’m gonna drop the air pressure a bit and not launch so hard next go around to see if it improves my times… Anyway. The RaceChip was exactly what I needed. I don’t know how much boost it adds, since I can’t see the actual boost pressure w/piggyback tune…

Regardless, even on this low setting I ran the times below:

60ft = 1.90s
0-60 = 5.32s
1/8 mile = 8.74s @ 77.32 MPH
1/4 mile = 13.84s @ 95.60 MPH

This was on a fresh tank of 93. Technically, these times are faster vs. Palm beach Dyno’s run, but there was an issue with the 0-60 run being unverified within the app. Oddly enough, the 1/8 and 1/4 mile saw no issues and were verified. Doesn’t matter, I still have more to come so I’ll do it again. Still, these are BRaptor beating acceleration numbers.

[UPDATE 1/28/24]

CV Fabrication Intercooler and plugs installed.

“Officially“ beat Palm Beach Dyno 0-60...barely, but a win is a win :)

Beat Palm Beach Dyno.jpeg

[UPDATE 2/4/24]

Was not expecting this, but was able to achieve 0-60 in under 5 seconds. This was in part by using E30 mix for fuel and getting a solid launch in normal mode without wheel hop.

4.98.jpg

[UPDATE 2/16/24]

Okay, so I've had some fun testing the Pulsar XT and Ford ProCal Tune combo. Still working on my standalone Pulsar XT review, but I'll post my results and thoughts with the two stacked together here.

Running 93 Octane + Ford ProCal tune & the Pulsar XT set to level 5 I ran the 0-60 time below.
The best run I had was 5.04s, but I experienced wheel hop.

IMG_1039.jpeg

Same setup as above, but with a mix of E30 fuel.

4.8 Seconds! Crazy for a five thousand pound shoe box on 35's :)
This combo is faster vs. The RaceChip S and ProCal tune, though I would rather daily the RaceChip since it doesn't retard the timing as much as the Pulsar XT.

I won't daily this combo, but wanted to share my experience with the two stacked together.

Got even better times, thanks to the cold weather

IMG_1069.jpeg

[UPDATE 2/28/24]

Successfully
installed a custom tune from ZFG Racing and HP Tuners. More to come.

[UPDATE 3/8/24]

Finishing up my 93 Tune. Took 5 revisions, but now she runs under 5 secs with just 93 in the tank. I'm thinking I'd see in the 4.6-4.7 range 0-60 with E30 in the tank. Not gonna wait and try, as I'm moving straight to E85...very soon

Reading all this, I’m wondering. Will a 2.7 build boost from a brake and launch situation? Meaning, if you hold the brake, and stomp the throttle, will the turbos build boost?
