All the warning lights are on after abs sensor

I have a 21 first edition. Lots of mods. Got a lift in March and ever since the apparently common service advancetrac, abs, and park fault aid come on and driving me crazy.

Read on some posts that I may need to clean the abs sensors. Pulled the 2 back ones by removing bolt and wiggling them out hard with my fingers. Cleaned a lot of black oil off of them and put back in?

How do these go back in? Never clicked in or anything. I pushed them down and put in the bolt. Just didn't feel right. Now tons of new lights on like hill descent and parking brake fault. (Plus the original lights)

I can’t help with your issue, but it doesn’t take much to make the computer nanny systems do stupid stuff. Just this morning I needed to let it roll forward a couple feet, so I put it in accessory mode, shifted to neutral and let it roll without starting it. Next startup it threw a bunch of warnings. Traction control, hill decent, ABS light was on, etc. luckily it all cleared after driving a few miles. I was going to try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes if they didn’t clear soon.

Mine just pushed back in without issue. I cleared everything with Forscan but if nothing is wrong I think they should self clear after driving around for a bit.

Just slid in and bolted down. One ugga dugga seemed like it was sufficient.

Wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas for this. Took it to dealer #3 and it was there over a week. They decided that one abs sensor might be acting up sometimes and they replaced it. All lights went off. Picked it up, and the service advancetrac, abs, and park aid fault lights all came back on while driving home.

I feel like the sensors are all plugged in and working. When the suspension place initially did lift these lights came on every now and then. When I was back there 5 months later for my other Bronco, they said, hey you still have more height in that lift kit, we didn't raise it all the way. So they raised it all the way (3-4" total) and now the lights come on every time you drive it. This is crazy.

So dealer 1 said they cleared the codes but lights came back on.
I asked dealer 2 (where I bought it) to recal the steering angle sensor which they did. Same issues
Dealer 3 has now replaced 1 abs sensor, and said I have all the updates available.

The wheel speed sensors are pretty delicate. If the shop that did the lift put any stress on the wires while installing the lift (easy to do, especially on the front) then the wires could be damaged.

However, it should be throwing a code if this is the case, and the code will tell you WHICH wheel speed sensor is misbehaving. I know because I just went through this exact scenario lifting mine. If 3 dealerships can't figure it out, go to AutoZone and have them read the code so you can see what the problem is for yourself, then determine a course of action from there (or report back with the DTC).

Thanks for the info. I think you are right there must be some tiny wire damage in at least one of the other sensors. I have a JB4 programmer installed which has a code reader section. Oddly, it never shows any codes when the abs lights come on. I've checked it several times in the last few months. I'll try Autozone to see if they see something. Love this Bronco but the lights (which disable most of the 4x4 functions) have been killing me.

The ABS codes won't show up on most code readers that only read check engine codes. I didn't know that until I had this issue. Apparently AutoZone can read other modules including ABS.

Well you were right. Autozone said right front abs sensor. I called the dealership back and told them and they scheduled an appt. for me next Monday to leave it again for 2 days. Wish they would just warranty the 3 other sensors and be done with it.

The sensors are like $40 and only take a few minutes to install. I'd rather just do it myself than be without a vehicle for two days.
