Always walk away from any ADM.
If I see a dealer mark up on instantly ask them… are you all not able to pay your bills? And I say also why would you put your bread and butter from not able to purchase their next car for 7 years.

Dealerships will typically start out with inflated prices trying to snag a whale. I've got some friends who are very nice, but bad with money, and have strong desire for material things. That's a combo of which dealerships are itching to take advantage.

People like that have no business setting foot on a car lot without a friend to talk sense into them and help with hard nosed negotiating.
I think some people just don't like negotiating either. Makes them uncomfortable in the moment or whatever the case may be.

I on the other hand went south with my original stealership on my FE over $100. S'ok I still got a FE used and the original db didn't get a penny from me (though he probably got 10k more from someone else).

This is right up there with dealers trying to get 500 bucks for Catalytic Converter etching on Lightnings 🤦‍♂️

The $499 for the catalytic converter is pure fraud. But the $1695 for the 5 year 75,000 mile maintenance package is just as bad. Here’s the Lightning Maintenance schedule:
Every 10,000 miles rotate the tires and perform a multipoint inspection.
Every 20,000 miles replace the cabin air filter.
Every 3 years replace the brake fluid. (The brakes on the Lightning will never wear out because of regenerative braking. )
Every 150,000 miles change the transmission fluid. (There are two “transmissions” one for each drive motor which are gear reduction units).
Every 200,000 miles change the coolant.

Ford has $2,000 rebate and $2,000 Jeep Conquest going on right now till the end of September. Dealers can ask for a markup.. but they may take MSRP.. you just need to ask.. Tell them you are willing to buy and drive the car today at sticker minus any incentives.. If you already plan on buying an extended warranty or Maintenance plan they will take the deal as a whole. What is the worse they can say.. ?

I tried several dealers in my ~50 mile area. Most gave a decent bronco deal, but a sorry trade in deal. A dealer a couple of hours from me had an internet deal too good to be true, and we drove up there on a Saturday, and it was too good to be true. We walked. Monday evening they called me and asked, “What would it take to get your business?”, and I said, “Honor your internet price and give me $xx,xxx for trade.” He agreed and I took the next day off “sick” and drove back up there and got the deal. Don’t be afraid to look around and walk if they’re not dealing. They’ll wait until the end of the next day and call you back.

Yep, some dealers still think they can charge ADM. Found a '24 2-door limited online advertised at MSRP, drove to the dealer in Seattle only to find it had $10K markup. Ended up getting one 280 miles away for under MSRP.
Part of the Bill Piere Ford network I suspect? One of their lots has had a row of Heritage Broncos sitting for a while.
