When spending, my cheapskate self generally goes by the 80/20 rule. Getting to 80% or so performance can usually be done on a reasonable cost increase curve.Yeah, that'll be my plan too. I don't think these will be many thousands of dollars of "better", maybe I'm wrong? I have lots of demands on my budget and I need to use components until they are fairly worn out before swapping.
But chasing that last 20% perf increase comes for an increasingly steep price. Meaning a lot more money for relatively less perf gain.
So yeah, I wonder how much better for the many thousands.
