I always get a 2nd set of rims for my vehicles to run dedicated winter tires. I found a set of steel Ranger rims but they are 16". Will that 16" rim clear the brakes? I have an OB with 18" on it now. thanks

Yup they will. The now-discontinued Base trim had 16" rims.

I don't know what the offset is on those Ranger wheels, but the Base Bronco had +55.

nice, thanks for the info...i'll look and see what my options are for winter tires to keep it the same height.....I will also check to make sure they fit over my brakes before I buy and mount tires....I learned that the hard way once...

Not sure how cheap you're getting the Ranger wheels but might want to look at BB or even OB options as well on CL or FB Marketplace, they seem to go for cheap.

I looked and sadly I can't find a decent snow tire that is 32" for a 16 or 17" wheel....so it seems I need to find 18" wheels....which there are a lot out there people just want a bit more for them. thanks for the replys.

255/75-17 = 32.1"
Firestone Winterforce and Bridgestone Blizzak.

265/70-17 = 31.6"
Many winter tires in this size to choose from in this size,
including the badasses:
Blizzak DM-V2
Michelin X-ice

I use Tiresize.com, https://tiresize.com/chart/
Unfortunately they no longer show the Nokians, but I am itching to try their new Outpost nAT as a year 'rounder. Nokian IS winter tires and their all-season types usually perform very well in winter compared to other brands in their class.
I have never personally run Nokians, but they seem to have a cult following online.

I love the DM-V2's and the X-ices I have run.

.... and YES, the Ranger 16" wheel is the same as the Bronco 16" wheel ... 5 of them came on my Base.
But for you, I'd still look for 17" due to the wide selection of tires for them.
Many of the 18" tires are LT versions and that rubber may be much stiffer than the SL passenger car versions. That stiffer rubber will be a nightmare in the winter. It is the exact opposite of what you want.

Ford Bronco Ranger rims on a Bronco? 1000001437

I'd probably get severe snow rated all seasons in my area. We get too many random warm days in the middle of winter. I hate winter tires in warm weather.
I've got a set of 5 wheels and tires here in South Carolina. 19k on 4 of them. One is like new. No flaws on the rims, if anyone is interested.

When I was looking yesterday I was finding the opposite, the only way I could get away from an LT tire was to go 18", the other options were all LT where I was looking, tire rack and discount tire.
Yeah, I've not dug into tall winter tires too much.
Seems like the pickings are really slim and the reviews of most of the LT WINTER tires are not exactly glowing. The rubber is just too fricken stiff.

This is why the Nokians are on my short list to try. If any body is going to make a decent AT truck tire that doesn't suck in the winter, it's going to be them.

The way the winters here have been trending, if I can find an AT with decent winter performance, I can skip true winter tires for now.

Right now, the Toyo AT3 's I have in LR C are by far the worst tire I've driven on in the last, 15/20 years??
They absolutely SUCK in rain and any version of cold climate.
I can't wait to get rid of them.
Seriously makes me consider SL rated tires from now on, which will limit me to 33's.

Get some pre-2024 BD steelies instead. They can be had for next to nothing, even new.
