File a claim with safelight. They have insurance. Get a check and then use it to fix it however you want and or pocket some cash for accessories.

I would have Safelite replaced the dashboard with a new one. They did the damage they should replace it
I had Safelite pay me $400 for causing the battery to die and other electrical safety issues that occurred as a result.

After over 40k miles, I finally had to get a new windshield.

TLDR: The Safelite installer spilled one drop of Betaseal primer onto my luxurious plastic dashboard.
How do I get the spot out?

I'll add some pics here in a second. The installer was forthcoming and apologetic about the mistake, and hey... mistakes happen. I didn't have a cow on him or anything like that. I love my Bronco and would be happy to get the spot out. He said he tried wiping it off and using paint thinner. That made me cringe a little bit because I know plastics (like the dashboard) don't like solvents. The pic I'll post is what was left after his best efforts - and my effort with a wet microfiber cloth, some elbow grease, and then also a microfiber with isopropyl alcohol.

On the cracked windshield front, I'm pretty chill. I got three years and 40k miles before even a chip... and if you factor in that I drove an FJ Cruiser for 10 years and 140k+ miles with a factory windshield, I've won the lottery in the vertical glass department.

Don't overlook nail polish as a potential fix for this. Nail polish comes in an almost endless variety of colors and the small brush makes an ideal application for small blemishes.
I used nail polish back in the spring of 2022 to "paint" the edges of my hardtop after sealing them to prevent water intrusion and delamination. At that time I had the beginnings of swelling on the raw edges of portions of my hardtop. Once sealed, I applied the nail polish in a matching color. To this day it still looks great......even better than the factory finished edges. Anyway, food for thought.

Likewise go to home depot or lowes and pick up a couple swatches of similar colors. Compare and then go back and just get a sample size jar. Try it out and see how it matches. It might take a try or two.

I did this with an exterior Andersen door and it worked fine for me.

I agree with others that safelite is at fault, but if it doesn't bother you a ton just do nail polish or some other paint solution instead of the money and headaches with the dash (and the dash will likely just end up in the landfill for one spot).

You all have been awesome. Thanks for the great suggestions.
UPDATE: Safelite has offered to send out a specialist to fix the problem. We’ll see what happens next.
Dashboard Hula Girl remains my favorite (but not the best) proposal… 🤣🤣🤣
