Sorry to post another “rattle” thread but I’m hoping to get some help.

2024 Heritage edition I recently started experiencing a rattle coming from around the back behind the passenger seat. It’s only noticeable when I hit a speed bump or if I’m on a rough road. It’s coming from around the back seat window/top area and so far all my troubleshooting has lead me to nothing. I’m certain it’s not the tailgate but rather from behind the passenger seat. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Any feedback/guidance would be much much appreciated because this is driving me nuts. Thanks in advance

Assuming you had someone else drive while you ride in the back seat/cargo area looking for the cause?

Yep that’s how I narrowed it down to the window area behind the passenger but I can’t tell exactly where

My HLE with the B&O rattles like crazy back that way. I think it’s the subwoofer enclosure as it is about the only thing back there and it is coming right from where it is. Heard it many times before from others this was an issue.

I will look into that but it's coming more from the back door behind the passenger

Have you considered something loose inside the door? I had a 2006 mustang that had something that would rattle inside the door.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

I just checked and tightened the bolts on the bottom of the back door but I didn’t notice any objects there. I even swung the door few times to see if I heard a rattle but unfortunately nothing

You seem to have already narrowed it down to the rear door area but mine was the rear hatch glass seals . It started sounding just like my tailgate table was loose and after a few days I cleaned all the rubber seals around the glass and applied lubricant to it and all the noise disappeared.

Yeah for me It’s def the back window area but I’m still not sure if it’s the window itself that’s rattling or maybe the top is causing the issue

UPDATE:

Wanted to provide a quick update here. After few trial and error attempt to locate the rattle, I believe I found it. The windows are rubbing against the rubber seal on rough roads causing the rattle. Whenever I slightly put the windows down, the noise is gone. Not sure if this was just the way it was designed or if there is a way around it
