Rattle-clicking passenger side soft top

Did you ever find a fix for this, I have the exact same thing and it’s driving me insane.

I had a sound like this coming from the upper part of my door. And it was a loose regulator bolt. My noise was only present with the window up and went away with the window down. They had to replace the window regulator

sounds to me like it’s coming from the top of the soft top, next to the latch handle somewhere. I can’t get over that far while I’m driving to really listen. I suppose I can have someone else drive and listen for it. The window is all the way up when it’s happening.

This fixed it. That little gap behind the airbags on the roll bar is where it is coming from. I took a business card and folded it in half and jammed it in as far as I could on driver and passenger side. Haven't heard the noise since.

Thank you ! I’ll give it a shot, like others have said it’s intermittent, but still extremely annoying nonetheless.

hi everyone,

i have the same problem i think. its rattle and plastic rubbing noise.
looked all over the place and could resolve the issue.
i decided to try and take my plastic covers off the tailgate that covers my wires and latch.
almost all the noise was gone. i still hear a very little squeaking sound but it helped a lot. im going to try and put fabric like pcs on the metal clips.

The covers on the soft top latch receivers are hilariously loose (like many interior trim pieces on this masterpiece of engineering).
Taking those off quickly fixed one minor rattle for us. You can cover the ends of the bolts with valve stem caps so you don't cut your hands on the ends of the bolts. Glue the caps on with some silicone.

I have the soft top rattle. Is very annoying when driving on minimally bumpy roads. Sounds like something is loose, but I cannot isolate it, very frustrating. Happened after dropping my top for first time since the winter.
