Since you’ve been somewhat measured about finding if you’re getting gains by each part, it would be interesting to hear how it goes for you. I’m generally leery on things that seem like “if it was that obvious why wouldn’t it be that way from the factory” like a taller intake manifold.

I should also say that I’m skeptical about the posted gains from Boomba. TB spacers add nothing from everything that I’ve seen and from the little bit of research I’ve done on manifold spacers, they follow closely along the same path.

If I was to purchase one, then it would be to make content and share my experiences with you all. Removing the manifold doesn’t look that bad, so it might be better to install the ported one first and then go from there. Wouldn’t be able to give an honest impression of it when stacking two mods together.

I’m not even sure the ported TB and manifold will add any meaningful gains, but I will reserve judgement until the manifold is installed and my tune is adjusted for it. I don’t mind being the guinea pig. I love this kind of stuff 😄

Also, I have plans to go back to the dyno when it cools down. I actually went back in the middle of the summer after my Downpipes and Charge pipes were installed. I gained absolutely no power…that said, my IATs were double compared to my first dyno run, so I’ll chalk it up to high IATs (135 F vs. 65 F).

That said, I don’t think the downpipes added much anyway….if I had to guess, maybe 10-15 HP? Probably not worth doing on stock turbos.

They seem to be claiming very high numbers, I agree. I really figured it’d be more likely to shift where power is made in the band.

I'm surprised the downpipes didn't make a bigger difference. Maybe the stock cats aren't that restrictive. It might make a bigger difference on the 2.3 since it's all flowing through one cat instead of two.
I was too. I just didn't see the increase I was expecting. Keep in mind, CVF uses 700 CELL cats vs. SPD's 400 CELL, though I don't think it would make much of a difference at this HP level.

Also, If you read SPD's DP description they make it seem like OEM is comparable to blowing air out of a straw :)

10 HP improvment on a Whipple tuned Bronco raptor... I'm sure there's more with a custom tune w/ more boost, but the BRaptor's turbos push a lot more air compared to the 2.7L.

Installed the ported manifold last week and It wasn't that bad thanks to the instructions provided by @Ducati1098

I'm still waiting for my tune to be revised, but it's safe to say the ported combo added some power. It's even noticeable just daily driving. Gets up to speed without straining as much and the bronco just feels lighter. She wants to move :)

I'll do a separate write up on the install and the comparison, but i went from a 12.89 @ 103 MPH to 12.77 @ 104 MPH. Similar temps and DA via the Dragy app. Also, 0-60 in 4.18s :)

Where was that write-up? Can you link it if I missed it?

Spent the last two days here at work going through this whole thread...lol love it !!!! nice job MWILD (y) You did to your bronco what I do to my cars lol

My bronco is only 5 days old now so I'm not going as crazy but I am ordering CVF cat back exhaust, FP tune, cvf hot/cold piping, cvf cooler and injen CAI.

My goal is better response , shifting and sound... hoping I'm making the right choices. This is my daily driver so not trying to get to wild.

Amazing build.. thanks for sharing.

For the intake spacer kit, the only good thing about that kit is the actual spacer for the intake itself, it makes the runners longer and can somewhat increase velocity within the runners, as for the tb spacer, its more for show. I have done tests on them awhile back, they maybe add 1hp.. maybe... they can kinda increase response but not much compared to other things. But back to the intake spacer, it is mostly a "supportive" mod, it doesn't do much on its own. But with a new intake, charge piping, turbos, intercooler, etc air, it can make a difference later on and will help with high end torque and hp. Good example is holley hi-ram intake manifold, not some much change in the low end but big difference in the high end.

As for the downpipe, yeah, you won't see much but jump a short jump in power with the stock turbos. But once you get larger turbos, the 3" won't be the bottle neck like the stock dps, but imo, when I run aftermarket dps, I run cattless.. it performs better in the long run and eliminates catastrophic events (cat debris or clogging). All of my modded cars had catless lol

Thank you, sir! I'm glad I'm able to help out. You're going to love the way your Bronco feels with the mods you listed. It's going to make it a lot more fun to drive.

Also, If you like video content, then you can check out my YT channel as well. I have video on the ported manifold/TB combo dropping soon.

Appreciate the feedback and I agree with you. I would go full catless, but my tuner won't touch a vehicle without them, so wasn't in the cards :(

Damn.. Here is Texas, most tuning is done for catless applications cause we like to get as much power as possible lol Tuners don't care here
