The Webasto gremlins seem to have finally caught up with me. Are these the dreaded hard top cracks? What is the general consensus - get them resolved immediately so I have a chance to ensure they they don't come back before the warranty runs out, or wait to get to 30kmi (I am at 18k right now) and then request warranty service?

First picture more so than the second. The second just looks like a scratch.

There are two different ways to approach a warranty claim. Some have advocated waiting until near the end of the factory warranty so they have a fresh top for the remaining years of ownership. But there exists the possibility that HT #2 will have problems. Waiting to make the claim will exhaust the chance of making a claim on the second one if problems arise.

I would suggest you bring the Bronco in so they can make the determination and start the process.

I’m not up to speed on the top cracks fiasco. Have there been any improvements in manufacturing so potentially the 2024 tops will not have issues?

I'd get it swapped out. I'm in the process of having mine replaced (which has taken over a month so far -- a week or two for warranty approval, a week or two for the first replacement to arrive, and two weeks for the second replacement to arrive). As I see it, my original top showed major defects after about a year, so I want to have the replacement on it as long as possible before my warranty expires, in case it too is defective so I'll have the ability to make another claim. Wait until the end and you're taking a risk.

I've been keeping an eye on mine. Noticed some about a year into ownership (about a year ago)
I definitely have a few areas of concern.
But all of these seem purely cosmetic. So because of that, I'm not necessarily in a hurry to do anything about it.
I have around 10,000 miles left before warranty expires, so for me that's a little less than a year.
I plan on bringing it up at my 30k mile service appointment and seeing what they have to say.

Hard to see when not pretty much directly in sunlight.
But I have the same sort of thing going on over on the driver side as well.
I have not inspected the top (roof).
At first I thought they were just scratches, but I feel like I can get my fingernail in them a little.
And with the way they sort of spiderweb out makes me think otherwise.
But I don't know...

Those are the same CRACKS I am getting warrantied. Plus bubbling on top.
Good to know...I guess lol.
Sucks to have to deal with it but good to know I can potentially get it swapped out.
But like you, I'm just worried a replacement could end up worse...
Guess that's the gamble!
🤷‍♂️

I just had mine replaced on my 2 door. I had some cracking and a lot of the honeycombing. The new top looks a lot better, but suspect the same thing could happen.

Crazy it took 2/3 weeks for warranty approval probably the dealer dragging their feet. Mine ordered a new top the next day after they took pictures. I made sure to show them the GSB though. No wiggiling out of that one.

Yeah I think the approval was closer to a week and the GSB was very helpful. I also had issues with the mid panel and front panels, so maybe that's why it took longer to get approval. What has taken the most time is getting the rear caps.

By chance... have you been running some trails and they could be some brush / tree branch striping?

The correct move is to get a new one, sell it immediately for lots of money, and buy a different top. Hopefully at some point there will be more top options, but it seems pretty obvious at some point all of these factory hard tops r gonna fail… no getting around laminated cardboard. Might as well make bank on it while you can.
