https://media.ford.com/content/ford...d inclement,package doubling towing capacity2.

Once I see the pricing I like the idea and the package. Of course the prices have gone up. And Ford is still really good at up selling the packages, even just based on exterior looks. The Lariat looks good IMHO.

Perhaps this does signal a bigger gas engine mated to a hybrid system for the Bronco?

Also still has more towing capability. lol

You're looking at ~$40,000 for the Lariat AWD Hybrid. @FordVideoGuy did a live stream on the Maverick earlier this week where he talked about pricing. (His video is here.)

Personally was considering the XLR AWD Hybrid to replace my current daily driver, but I think I'm going to hold off and see what Ford does with the Ranger and Bronco Sport. Maverick would by far the most practical vehicle... but... ya know... sometimes I don't do practical things.

The alternative is the 2.0 Ecoboost that just got a gas particulate filter and lost like 7% hp.

Still hasn't convinced me its a better pick than the Ridgeline. They are VERY similar in dimensions. Ridgeline has more towing capacity, nicer cabin, bigger bed with the storage under the bed.

I'm not arguing with you on that, but I just didn't like the Ridgeline when I drove a new one in 2022. I drove a used 2021 Maverick XLT AWD and then got in the Ridgeline and drove it the same distance and such. The interior was better in terms of layout in the Honda as well as the materials but it just didn't "feel" right to me. I dunno, I just didn't care for it. Not saying it was bad, but that day I really didn't want to be in it. I preferred the Maverick, with it's noticeable flaws. 🤷

I could not believe that either when I heard it. Utterly stupid. But that is what you get when the government gets involved. stupidity.

As a previous owner of a FWD hybrid Maverick I can say that AWD is not needed nor desired. I’ll take 48mpg’s FWD all day long. It was so good I looked right past the porta-potty interior 🤣

Yes, I sold it for a profit 🤷🏻‍♂️ but I wish I still had it.

I owned a 2022 Alto Blue Maverick Hybrid XLT w/ Lux truck and an absolutely identical 2023 version. They are great little trucks that served me very well, with plenty of power, interior room, comfort, and utility. .

good luck.....

I’ve been driving my Tundra which has a V6 turbo paired with a hybrid motor, and it’s fantastic. I‘m still a believer in full EV’s, but the hybrid setup for off-road vehicles and trucks seems like a better solution for these platforms. I’m quite impressed these early days by the setup. The Bronco would be great to have this too, especially in dealing with the slight lag upon accelerating from a stop.

Maverick vs. Ridgeline? Are you serious? And you people cry like babies when someone calls a 4-door a Bronco because it’s not a 2-Door, but a POS mom bus?
Yup, I can hear it at the local Icecream Abuse Program on Wednesday evenings. “Hi, Clarence. Tell us where you started your downward spiral”. “Well, I bought a Honda… truck”. And the group erupts in laughter.

My mom has the FWD Hybrid. The mpgs she gets driving it like the actual grandmother she is, are insane.

Adding AWD is extremely attractive, since she lives in the mountains that sees snow and ice.

The new Lobo is super attractive as well. Torque vectoring rear differential is awesome.

My inlaws had a Ridgeline years ago. We all hated it. They are super overrated. The interior, the way it drove, everything about it.
