I have a 2022 Bronco with the MIC. Some slight snake skin but it still looks very good and I regularly use 303 protectant on it. I plan to keep my Bronco for decades and my only concern is the top. I would replace it with aftermarket down the road but wonder if doing something now may make it hold up.
LINEX:
I know some have done it (photo from another member here) and I have a few questions:
1. Did they mask everything off and leave the top on while applying it?
2. Did they remove the windows or the rear door/glass?
3. Was any other coating applied to the top of the LineX to get the shine effect?
4. In your opinion, will this prevent the hair line cracking we have seen or if the top cracks, will it show through the LineX?
5. If you want to share the prep work they did (sanding, etc.)
For those that have PAINTED:
Basically, the same questions????
I assume paint is thinner than the LineX so if top cracking occurred.....would it not then also crack the paint?
I like the look of the MIC top and I am willing to do one of the above IF it will prevent some of the failures we have seen of the MIC top.
I have not seen these specific questions addressed, others may be curious too.
Thank you!!!
