Write all was not the fix for me.
I kept getting the error so I undid my changes and redid them a couple of times then I started messing with APIM settings that dealt with trailering stuff. I saved each time and reverted back each time, always making sure to cycle the start engine button as...
I think weight and fitment are not an issue. Adhesion is defintley a concern.
We need to get ahold of this guy:
https://bronco6g.com/forum/threads/finally-line-x-ultra-sprayed-mic-top-fender-flares-door-handles.55206/
It is just a coating...but it's some pretty damn strong lipstick.
I wonder if it will bond with the existing surface and become one OR because the MIC top is cracking...if it will just continue to crack under the layer of Line-X and deteriorate.
Heck, with all the unfinished edges all around...
Safety Seal. Been using them for years. Just threw my kit in the Bronco and have one in the cart for the wife's SUV.
I second the sidewall patch mentioned earlier.
Yeah, it took a bit. Then they just left a message saying nope. I will try another dealer later during the summer. I'm in no hurry to get another cracked top.
Mostly on top for me. I don't care so much about the rippling/bubbling, snake skin look as I do the cracks. I keep looking into Line-X thinking that is the only solution at this point.
Also, rub some talc/baby powder on those cracks before you go in. I'm tired of this delamination nomenclature. Those are cracks. It's cracked. This should not be the stupid back and forth that is has become for some of us.
Take it in. Show them the problem.
It all depends on your dealership. If you bought it there and they are decent, they will probably just take pictures while you are there and start the process.
Unfortunately, everyone around here wants it for a couple of days (?) and in my case, it just...
It depends how much you hate rust. I lived in the midwest long enough to despise it.
My southern only Bronco arrived with more rust than it should have. With 3 winters in the North, I would keep looking for a deal in the South.
If you move forward, I would invest in a dry ice blast and some...
I would defintley do it as part of a package:
Adapter, rack, tailgate hinge reinforcement.
Regardless of the rack or not, we should all probably do the tailgate hinge reinforcement.
My cheapest bike is in the low thousands and while monetarily replaceable, they no longer make a Klein...
I wonder how close it is?
I have micrometers, rulers, lasers, pencils, etc.; let me know if you need anything (I know that it is not as precise at the original plans but I have measured a thing or two).
Also, I do not know how open they are to sharing, especially with what happened with 1Up...
My Quikr Mach 2 just came in and I regret ordering before I saw your solution: bikes nice and high in case of a rear impact, hitch is free to use, no opening tailgate issue. Anyone looking for a tire mount rack and a 1Up, this looks like the best bet.
Hate to revive an old thread, but just noticed this and could not find anything. Mine did this but has recently reverted/changed to no wavy lines. I'm not sure if I changed anything?
After about a 4-5 week wait mine showed up today; a base unit and one add-on.
Quick review:
For the price, it was a little more scuffed than I would have liked and it looks like it was from production not shipping. The box was pretty clean and it was strapped in tight. Shipping from Colorado...
I'm in the middle on this one.
I believe you cannot see any cracks but I've also seen enough hardtops now to know getting the right angle in the right light has become a sad skill that I have acquired.
A video, unless at 4k and in the right light with the right angle, will not expose the...
7" was perfect.
Used the cheaper Kuat Hi-Lo version which is 7"/10" and it cleared the spare perfectly.
Note, laying the rack down with bikes on it allowed only minimal access to the rear.
