Finally bit the bullet and ordered the mobridge kit for the godawful B&O system. Have that, a stinger tailgate sub, and ssv kicker pods on the way. Just need dash/kick panel upgrades to finish it all off. Any recommendations for something that can handle the mobridge power and sound good with the rest of the setup?

Not specifically as its personal preference. But go with the more expensive series of a chosen brand. So much of the system is based on 4inch dash speakers you don’t want to cheap out. I run my kick panels from 80-200hz as mid bass only. Letting the kick panel speakers play mid/high really kills the sound stage. Dash runs from about 180hz up. Brands to consider are Helix, Morel, Audio Frog, Hertz, Focal to name a few. Just stay away from run of the mill $69 4 inch and $79 6. 1/2’s.

And watch tweeter protrusion. Dash grill sits close to the speaker so you want a tweeter that doesn’t sit far above speaker frame.

I have JL C2s with the center removed. It’s bananas! Wife can hear me, before she can see me.

I have Focals ACX 100, tweeter doesn't interfere with the stock dash grille, and put a PAC bass blocker in line.

Bass blockers will make things sounds worse if you have a DSP. For anyone using our amp please do not install bass blockers!!

Infinity Reference series is a decent choice that I've used multiple times in the past, and I think they're on-sale right now on Crutchfield. Granted they're not super high-end speakers, but a still a solid choice.

Also second @mObridge's comment... don't use base blockers if you install an external DSP. One of the reasons why you buy a DSP is because it gives you the ability to fine-tune the frequency output for each speaker. Bass blockers are more of a "brute force" implement you use when you don't have any DSP capabilities.

Apologies, I skipped over that part. I put bass blockers in with the stock system.

I went with Hertz CX 100 4” in the dash corners and center and Hertz MP 165.3 Pro 6.5” mid-bass in the kick panels (these mid-bass speakers were a recommendation from Fraser @mObridge).

They all sound fantastic with the MoBridge amp. Especially the kick panels.

My only unsolicited, new to car audio advice: sound treatment is your friend. I used Kilmat, closed cell foam sheets and polyfill in all the speaker cavities (even the dash as best that I could). I feel like it made a huge difference.

I also used kilmat and closed cell foam sheets on the entire floor, rear cargo area and rear fender wells (easy to do when you have everything apart for the mobridge install). I also used the Dynamat door kit. All in all, my Bronco is much quieter in terms of road/wind noise, with a much louder/high quality audio system.

Good luck!

I'm intrigued by that, as a bunch of the other threads I read said the kick panels were meh to replace with full range speakers. If I can get better effect out of them going mid-bass, I might have to pick up a set.

hertz has two woofer models. One has a much lower frequency range. I don’t know how different they sound but I picked up the low range model.

Ended up ordering the Hertz cx 100s for the dash and the Hertz MP 165.3 Pros for the kick panels.

Installed the amp and the SSV pods yesterday, then drove the bronco back home. Now I get to dive into tuning!

Anyone have a tune file for something resembling this setup?

Very happy with my Morel Maximo Ultra Coax 402 and 602 speakers, currently running the 48TRTP122 sub again (it thumps).
