  1. mObridge B&O Stereo Upgrade Installation Video

This setup is the epitome of "Buy once, cry once". It's expensive, but it's worth it. And I still haven't actually properly tuned mine yet. (It got cold, one of these days when it's not -40 here in Canada I'm going to get Fraser to do a tune with me).
  2. Mobridge Tuning Files

Uploaded that tune file today. For some reason it absolutely killed any midrange response. I messed about with the global EQ a bit to bring it back. A good starting point, but I'm definitely going to have to put some time in to get the whole tune right. Thanks for sending it over!
  3. Planning my Audio Upgrade, does it make sense?

You'll need an actual amp power cable. There's a spare terminal on the battery to run it from. Then it's just through the grommet in the firewall and under the trim panels to the back. Shouldn't go near the aux switches at all.
  4. Planning my Audio Upgrade, does it make sense?

Generally any amp worth using will need it's own power wire run from the battery. Fortunately it's easy to do on the bronco.
  5. Mobridge Tuning Files

@mObridge do you have a copy of the file for those speakers?
  6. Mobridge Tuning Files

He did not, but I've been all over the place for work since getting the rest of my stuff installed. I'd love a copy of your file, though, if you could send it over!
  7. Upgrading B&O system. Has anyone done this?

The stinger gets nice and low, too. It'll give you a good shake when you turn it up. I'm very happy with it.
  8. Upgrading B&O system. Has anyone done this?

I went with Hertz cx100s in the dash, Hertz MP Pro 163.5s in the kick panels, and the SSV pods in the rears with the kicker upgrade. (Along with the stinger tailgate sub). Installing the sound dampener was pretty easy once I had the panels off to run the power wire. It was a couple hour job...
  9. Upgrading B&O system. Has anyone done this?

I did all of this, albeit with different speakers. Absolutely worth it. The mobridge amp is an easy install, if you don't want to pay the big $$ to have someone to do it for you. The tuning is..... complex... To say the least. I'm looking into that part now, and the "beginners guide" I...
  10. Nice article on Bronco Big Bend by Road & Track -- 2024 Big Bend Review: Less Bronco Is Best Bronco

The little tiny wheels on the non-SAS BB just look awful. Other than that, I agree with everything they said.
  11. Upgrading speakers/amp

Good quality speakers will definitely be an improvement. But the upgrade to the 6.5s in the back is mostly wasted if they're not getting any lower frequencies than the 4" that were originally there.
  12. Upgrading speakers/amp

Yeah, the B&O is a pain in the dick. I ended up going for the mobridge plug and play conversion. It's pricey, but makes the upgrade simple. (And their customer service is excellent). If I could have gotten everything I wanted on the bronco without that B&O garbage, I would have done it in a...
  13. Upgrading speakers/amp

If you don't replace the factory DSP with something, you've wasted a ton of money. The speaker upgrades will sound like shit, because they're going to be EQed for the factory speakers with no way to change it. (ie: you'll be amplifying stuff already crossed over for 4" speakers.) I believe...
  14. Mobridge Tuning Files

Update: Finally have the good amp, and all my speakers installed. Went out to tune today, only to find, for some reason, my Bronco refuses to recognize a WAV file on a usb stick. So that derailed the plans for today. (No idea how to get the pink noise playing through the head unit until I...
  15. Bronco Plug and play 1150W RMS amp replacement kit for B&O back in stock!

Do not mess with the separate power connector. That's not speaker wiring. The wires you want for the sub are the two pink and two pink/silver. Just did this whole install recently! The Pinout paper I got was incorrect as well, I spent a bunch of time looking for wires that weren't there...
  16. Mobridge Tuning Files

Tuning is now on hold for a bit due to the fact that the amp I got from mobridge had a bad power supply. Fortunately, Fraser has been on the ball and is already sending out a replacement. So far, very happy with the customer service.
  17. Mobridge Tuning Files

I originally was going to grab the ones going to the green connector, but those wires are TINY for 400+w to a speaker. I'd rather take the larger gauge wires directly from the harness and not worry about it. At this point I've torn the entire back end out of the Bronco, what's an extra 5 min...
  18. Mobridge Tuning Files

The diagrams had the sub channels as black/red and black+silver/red+silver. I heard back from Fraser last night, and apparently the latest production run of the wiring harnesses changed that to the sub channels being 2 sets of pink/pink+silver wires. (And that change has not made it to any of...
  19. Mobridge Tuning Files

The progress has stopped there until I hear from mobridge. My wiring looks like NONE of the diagrams I can find online. So I'm waiting to hear if the recent kits have different wiring, or if I'm just an idiot and missing something.
