Side Camera Blank Spot?

Has anyone had this issue? I'm assuming it's a bad camera that will need to be replaced (hopefully) under warranty by Ford?

It's also not lined up right...sounds silly but have you made sure your mirror is seated in the right spot and not angled a little forward or back?

Mirror is in the correct position BUT looking at it more closely, it looks like the camera on the driver's side mirror is out of place compared to the other side. Good call! Thanks!

I get this happening occasionally on the driver’s side, especially in cold weather. Just a big blank area. The dealer was unable to find anything wrong. My guess is it’s a slightly loose connection somewhere. It usually goes back to normal the next time I start the vehicle.

You can try an IPMA calibration procedure with FORScan. It will cost you next to nothing if it doesn't work.

Problem solved!!

The plastic cover on the driver's side mirror was not seated correctly. It was very slightly out of place. The camera was in place and the cover had slightly covered the lens. I pushed cover back in place and all is well!

The only thing I can think of is I took it through a touchless car wash which had a pretty powerful spray. I noticed the issue after using this car wash a couple times.
