Does anyone know if there is a way to get the dealer to program a 2022 Bronco so that it acts like a 2023 or 2024 where pressing the unlock on the keyfob will lower the windows to the ready to open state?

on our 2022 the windows are slow to drop and often catch on the rubber seals causing the window wobble and shake on open.

It seems the door glass is a lot more solid on my 2024 Bronco than on our 2022, no wobbling glass, no rattling at all regardless of how far it is lowered...it is like that Q4 2023 fix Ford promised might be installed on the '24s but never released to the masses.

That opens them all the way down though right? On my '23 and '24 if I press the unlock button the windows lower just a little, the way they do when you grab the door handle to open the door. That's what I was hoping to be able to get the '22 Bronco to do. unlocking the doors with the keyfob puts the windows in the right position to open the door before you even touch the door unlike when you grab the handle to open the doors and they lower...but not fast enough to get out of the way of the seals. On the '22 the driver and passenger windows are really wobbly anyway...even after adjusting it 100 different ways with the adjuster screws at the bottom of the doors and when they snag the rubber when opening a door it's not fun to see.

Door Module update may be available (or not) for your rig and then it may work. 4 doors only from what I have read.

It’s just a software update that you or your dealer can install.

It’s not quite yet available on all 2-door Broncos yet (though it is available on many), but it is available on 4-door.

EDIT— Just a heads up... Ford removed the update from FDRS and it is no longer available. See this post from @Ducati1098 for more information.

I asked about it at the dealer last week when I was getting an oil change and they said if it doesn’t show up as an update or recall on my VIN they wouldn’t do it. I didn’t press the issue as I really don’t know what the update is called. I may try again next time.

I have a '23 and my fob doesn't do that. Is it a Forscan thing?

Weird. Remote start works fine, but the press, press and hold does nada.

I made no changes it has always done this.

I dont have remote start so that may be the difference. For reference mine is a 22 base manual.

I had it done on my 2022 2 door several weeks ago. I asked to have it done when I took it in for the wiper update. At first they didn't know about an update. When the tech was doing the update he notice DDM and PDM updates. I have a base Bronco. So when I get close I hit unlock button. Window doesn't drop instantly but give a few seconds both windows drop.

I believe there is a setting in the infotainment screen to turn on global window down

I think it was a MY23 job 2 thing. My ’23 Big Bend was a job 2 truck and I lost the cloth seats I wanted and got MGV. One of the guys getting built the same week had an early ’23 that did not roll the windows down a bit via the fob on unlock Like the later ‘23s do.

I have a early MY23 (january) and mine doesn't have that feature, however what i was able to do for the window slop was tighten the adjusters and it made a huge difference.
