I am looking to purchase a 2.7L ecoboost assembled between June 8, 2021 and August 16, 2021 (Julian date range of 21159-21228) that has experienced sudden engine failure containing the defective valves.

The image below shows the engine serial number located at multiple places on the engine. From the engine serial number you can determine the day that the engine was assembled, and if it contains valves from the defective batch.

If I can get an engine before you return to the dealer for replacement, it would be much appreciated. I am willing to purchase the entire vehicle at a premium to get the engine. Please DM me if it happens to you.

Since the failures are occurring under warranty, Ford owns all of the failed valves thus preventing anyone from verifying that the issue has been resolved.
Doesn’t the fact that it’s not happening to Broncos outside of a small date range kind of verify that it’s been fixed?

This bothers you so much you are willing to buy a failed motor or bronco for it? Once you pop the motor out or open the engine to verify anything your warranty will be void.

I could be wrong but, it smells like @BigBroncoFan is gathering evidence for some litigation…

I have one in the "bad zone" that has not failed (yet)... are you only interested in failed one?

I concur, E##### might coincide with an evidence number in a legal software system. There my sleuthing ends!

Just a shot in the dark, but think along the lines of - for lawsuit purposes.

Multiple models all had this issue back in 2021. I’ve seen it happen in F150, Explorer ST, Edge ST, etc. I think it was fixed before any Braptors were produced though.

If/when it fails, please let me know.
If it hasn't failed yet, it's not going to fail, but it's well known as to what failed and why. I also have a hot zone engine... LOL, I will let you know when it fails (it currently has 90k miles), I doubt you want that for your case.

You have 90k miles on a 2021? Damn man, you drove a LOT.
