hoping that's resolved by the time i order mine for a 7MT later this year
Well I am quite certain I'm going to wrestle w/this issue! As usual I will post my results. Procal currently allows you to set gear ratio up to 5.38...that's 6% less than the true 5.73 that it ends up being (effectively). I'm hoping that will be enough to keep the computer happy, if not I'm gonna have to do some custom programming that I don't currently know how to do, but there's only one way for me to learn!

Seems to me others have them installed and things are working just fine.... Other than the one MT???? I would guess speedo may be off slightly if you go over a 37... but...

OOoooo Shiny! Waiting to see these end results! Grats!

I will get there... going to take my time and think through every single step. Will probably take 20 times longer than it should but I want to get it right. Especially since I am installing the coil overs and upper control arms at the same time.

All ATs. MT is different. It makes sense to me now why. Tire size calibration and gear ratio are different settings (they are on AT also, but AT has ISS/OSS per OBD requirements). Speedo isn't the issue, it's the computer seeing more revs/mile and attributing that to clutch slippage, which it then goes into a clutch protecting limp mode! AAAARGH! Bronco has front tone rings mounted to hub/bearing and rear tone rings on axle shafts. To account for the gear reduction Quinn had to use a smaller tooth count on the axle shafts. This setup works, however the computer is effectively seeing that 5.73 ratio, even though it is reading speed before the portal. Speedo accuracy I wouldn't care.

Okay, that makes sense... did not realize you had the MT... VERY NICE!

Well you will be ahead of me on the skids spare tire solution and Procal.... I am probably a month or two out on making decisions/ordering on those still. and then I will have lead time.... I haven't even ordered new tires yet... got an estimate a few weeks back... but those I can have with 2 days notice. Helps to live in an area where there are lots and lots of large tired vehicles.

Nice about the tires.
I am going cooper sst pro 40 and sams has the best price and say it comes in 4 days so going down that road. I also have the bead locks for the stock rims so there is that as well.
