Keep in mind that I had to use 1.25" spacers in the rear... otherwise everything would have tucked in tighter like the fronts.

Would like that cable to come out at a 90deg to what it is, but otherwise looks good to me. Do you know if they've put a patina on them? They seem more smoke gray than what was in the videos.

Yea, absolutely not liking that brake line routing. I know you mentioned hard lines and that is probably the way to go.... but in the mean time it looks (limited by photos I want to touch and fell it but) it looks like maybe that brake line terminal could be turned upward slightly 20 degrees? 30 degrees? upward which would at least allow routing that flexible line more tucked in along the portal housing. I really do not know without seeing it in person and sticking my fingers in there. (I am tactile)

And yes the wiring for the ABS? E-brake? It would be nice to have that longer for a cleaner routing as well. Agree with Userdude that It would benefit from a 90 degree coupling.

To be somewhat fair, it does look like it's sticking out about as far as that spacer is wide. So maybe not a big deal for those with 8.5/9" wide rims with no spacer that fit the caliper. Still would seem safer to tuck it in, though, at least for off roading (I think Bored is looking to replace the rims).

I have to deal with the spacers for a bit.. but won't be doing anything to risk damaging the rears. I'll be evaluating other wheel options shortly.

Although I like the looks of the Icon pros, I prefer the Method bead grips. When you can't practically get the tire off after installing it, that sure sounds like a bead lock to me! lol I figure you've talked to Quinn directly, but that's what he's got and the price is decent. I'm wondering if I could even go spareless with them.

That is different from the way he told me the brake hose was gonna work! Looks like they added a banjo manifold (if such a thing exists) to connect the original brake hose to theirs? originally he told me you were gonna have to cut/flare the original (which my plan was to fab new ones, then save my originals intact if I ever need to revert to non-portal operation). This setup is WAY nicer! Agree the hose could use tweaking in the length and mounting angle...but still...love it!

Awesome you got them! I didn't realize we have the same Bronco model. Now definitely need to see how this goes. Have you done any clearance measurements yet? Your rear diff at least looks to be a bit higher in that last photo. Bummer the Hutchinsons need a spacer; I will probably go Method bead grip anyway, but those are some great rims.

I'll try to get out tomorrow and measure below rear lower link, shock, etc. Its been cold and wet!

Only reason "that other guy" can mount the calipers that high is because the housing only has 3 gears and is narrower (shorter front to rear).... The 4 gear design makes that mount location impossible.

So far it looks like both 74Weld portal broncos are confirming the -24 offset wheels which is a lot with the portal boxes stuck in-between. Hopeful that 0 offset wheels work as they are becoming the most popular offset for our platform.

I am not sure I follow what you are trying to say....

Bored had a +24 offest wheel BUT that wheel did not have a flat plane at the offset. It had additional bolt heads for the tire bead locks.... It was the bolt heads on the inside of the wheel that did not clear the new location for the caliper. He needed to offset the wheel just slightly greater than - 20.... Those spacers were not readily available so he put on a -32 spacer to get home..... Placing his total offset at -6ish.

I have a +30 offset wheel that I believe will still work just fine.... Checked and cleared by 74....

I believe Quinn's stated they're closer to ~55mm thick with the gear width, which would make it a -55mm (give or take) offset to compensate if you want the tire to realign. (I don't recall the exact width, it was in a video.) I don't think the typical Bronco driver cares about these, but Quinn has said all along you want minimum +25mm offset rims, or greater, as long as the caliper fits. If you want taller, go with the competition. I'd prefer to fit in my garage.
