You'd think it was snowing out here in Cali the way these guys are driving. The weather has been in the high 60's and low 70's since summer ended, but you'd never know it.

Rare to even see a Bronco with the windows down. Owners are always sealed up inside while I'm zooming around with the 2 front panels off and stowed in the back.
I am a “spirited driver” like you it seems. Plenty of top off Broncos here in the beach cities of Orange County. Front panels?? Pffft! My top has been hanging in the garage since April aside from a few stints in airport parking 🤣 But I cheat and take the Escalade if it’s cold/dark and I have the kids with me. We are headed to Big Bear in January so I’ll definitely put the top on then.

lol. Funny you should ask. I have noticed I drive considerably slower in my Bronco. I’ve always been a bit of a lead foot. Always in a hurry to get somewhere. I’ve got a pile of speeding tickets over the years to prove it. But either I’ve crossed some invisible line into old age, or there’s just something pleasant about putting along in my Bronco. It’s kind of my happy place, and when I drive it, I don’t really care to hurry. That and my gas mileage is notably improved if I stay at or a little above the speed limit.
They make the Lincoln Town Car to scratch that itch 😂

Queue me doing 20 over in 8" of snow this morning 🤭

It's the same reason there's so many pavement princesses....because a lot of them were bought by people who can't drive just so they could have the latest trendy item to post on tiktok or sit in the school pick-up line.
It's like those people who say they're overlanding but really just returning to the trailhead they started at.

You nailed it. For some of us, there’s something about the Bronco that subdues us into a zen type driving where we like to just lumber along and listen to the engine whine through the gears

Have you seen how long some of those Starbucks drive thru line ups are?! You better believe I’m “over landing” for my Frappuccino!

I have noticed that the gearing on my Badlands definitely encourages me to drive less enthusiastically than I drove my former Fusion and Explorers. It took me a month or 2 to get used to stomping the gas to get going, but I still think I drive more conservatively than I have in the past. Maybe I'm just getting old....

And then there's my concern of getting stones in my windshield:) I definitely hang back from people. And if someone cuts in front of me, I slow down to get the same distance.

I took a road trip into Mexico this weekend and saw an indicated 99 mph on the speedo. I admit I was surprised it would go that fast.

I am amazed at how well the Bronco drives at higher speeds. Is it a brick? You bet it is, and the gas mileage shows this. However, it is good to let the Bronco stretch it's legs too. I had a great opportunity last fall while driving south to north thru Nevada on their less traveled highways with posted speed limits of 90mph, and let me tell you the 2.3 cyl Bronco cruised beautifully at 100mph. Sometimes you just have to let them run...

Seems like I'm always zooming past Bronco's out here in Cali. On the freeway, Bronco's are usually in the slow lane, or in the middle lane driving below the speed limit. On the street, it seems like they're all in Eco mode, just trailing behind everyone. If I didn't own one, I'd think they were underpowered and slow.

This isn't me driving fast either. Between the freeway and street, I'm usually at 65-75/35-45.
My speedo says I'm going faster than I really am. Might be a problem for other slow broncos as well.
