Not at all, it actually sounds like you are trying to justify your mistake! lol

-The location of the accessories look like they were added after the fact in a Jeep. Locker switch is in a bad spot, same with aux switches and lets not forget about that tiny screen, only to be widened to no real improvement in the latest redesign. (which also looks stuck on ) The only complaint might be the side panels, but I wouldn't want anything plush. The seats are worlds better in the Bronco and so much more comfortable.

-No response necessary, test them, you will find out quick enough, especially in snow and ice!

-Jeep/AMC/Chrysler/Fiat/Stellantis have NEVER been known for reliability and still aren't.

-Your "Black" hardtop is heavy and has an ugly white interior that will always look dirty and is hard to clean. I prefer the darker interior, but not that much difference, just my preference.

-My Bronco's doors function as they should, sure they rattle a bit when partly down, just like all frameless doors through history. (Framed doors historically are kind of entry level.) I like the final products look and function much more than the archaic doors on the Jeep. Personal preference I suppose.

-I'd check with Jeep, your 4XE most likely has or will have a recall!
Can’t resist lol framed doors are for entry level vehicles šŸ™„ so my 22 f250 platinum tremor 6.7 which came in around $92k msrp and the same truck as a 24 is approx. $104k msrp those are entry level huh

I like the idea of the non-framed windows in the doors. Apparently Ford didn’t do it well for the Bronco. Our 2015 Mustang convertible, the windows work flawlessly. Upper end cars and suv’s generally have non-framed windows in the doors, and ALL convertibles. It’s like the difference between a 2dr hard top and 2-door post. The hard top was always the upper-end vehicle. And with the top down the door frames aren’t in the way. Of course the roll cage kind of makes it less important I guess.

I wouldn't think 3-4 years is enough time to get an accurate gauge on reliability, unless we're comparing warranty issues with other makes. Now I don't know how modern GM, Mercedes, etc quality is, but the brand I work on has its fair share of problems on new cars and SUV's.

It’s what happens when Fiat and Peugeot build a car together (Stellantis).
No, Jeeps are still Nash Ramblers in different skin. (American Austin-Ford-Jeep-Nash-AMC-Jeep-Chryco-Mercedes-Chryco-Fiat-Stellantis::::sure I missed a few and timeline order)

+ Better interior materials - I don't agree,
+ Better laid out controls - Definitely not, Bronco is far superior
+ Better reliability in 2 years - Not a Chance!
+ Rear AC Vents! - Ok, I don't care! lol
+ Better stock tires - No, Territory's are better than BFG's!
+ hard top is better quality - You like the White POS?
+ Framed doors don't rattle like hell every time you open them - Maybe, but we have Half Doors Standard.
+ Soft top fits better and does not have wave windows - Another who cares!
+ Quieter interior - Since when, my Bronco is quieter than my Wranglers
You didn't mention the weight of the 4XE and it's battery issues!
Love this, "rear A/C vents - dont care"

Aint my problem, I am the one up front and driving!šŸ˜‚

Everyone on here seems so concerned with the Bronco reliability.... I think it is an echo chamber.

The Bronco did not make the Consumer reports 10 worst list but 3 different Jeeps did.

1) Wrangler
2) Grand Cherokee
5) Grand Cherokee L
6) Rivian R1T

caveat: Have not read the article... just saw a post about it......
Give it time! I'm sure it will!

new Landcruiser will fix all these issuesā€¦ā€¦šŸ˜‚..JK, not trying to get anyone riled up!! šŸ˜‰
For comfort interior niceties it's hard to beat the new Pathfinder. And impossible to even come close to Volvo seats.

Years ago, I paid for a 1 year subscription to CR because I needed to buy a few household appliances/etc.

Worse vacuum I ever owned!

A) Consumer Reports hates Jeep. They consistently rate them terribly.

B) The Rubicon has been better built and higher quality by far. Here is my Pro/Con Sheet

22 Bronco
+ Bigger and Roomier
+ Better steering
+ Larger Infotainment screen
+ 35s stock!
+ 360 camera
+ Much larger cargo access door

21 Rubicon 4xe
+ Better interior materials
+ Better laid out controls
+ Better reliability in 2 years
+ Rear AC Vents!
+ Better stock tires
+ hard top is better quality
+ Framed doors don't rattle like hell every time you open them
+ Soft top fits better and does not have wave windows
+ Quieter interior

EX Wrangler Rubicon 2020 owner here.

I love the look of the interior in the Bronco far more than the Wrangler. It's just so sleek and minimal feeling. It does have more areas to scratch up though.

Only complaint I have about my tires (Badlands Sasquatch) are how badly they grab rocks.

Hardtop is better quality on the Jeep, I hate knowing my roof is stuffed with cardboard :(

I'm gonna disagree on the interior being more quiet. First thing I noticed when I handed over the keys to my Wrangler and drove off the lot with the Bronco was how it was more quiet. My wife said the same thing. I also feel like they hold heat and a/c better than the Jeep.

Anyways I chose the Bronco for 3 reasons:

1. I love the look of them. I just think Ford killed it in that regard.

2. More spacious interior. Always felt so cramped in the Jeep.

3. And the most important for me is on road comfort. I hated how my Jeep felt on road trips and the play in the wheel. The Bronco is smooth and I don't feel a need to stop every hour to stretch and walk around. Also, doesn't feel like I'm gonna shake apart going 70 down the highway so that's nice.

It's for these 3 reasons I'd buy it all over again. Hopefully you don't think this is a need to "justify my purchase bias" as I feel that's a lame way to write someone off. These are just individual experiences and opinions.

Cheers!

Just remember that CR reliability ratings are the result of their annual member survey. The ratings come directly from people who own that specific vehicle.

The down side of the survey is that a minor problem, for example an interior plastic piece that fell off, is counted exactly the same as a severe problem like, say, a failed transmission.

So if 10% of Jeeps have an HVAC knob that fell off, then they are "worse" than a vehicle that has 8% transmission failures.

I typically rent 4 cars a month and drive them on average 250 miles with 2/3 long distance freeway miles. That said, I have rented almost every brand and model of SUV/Crossovers from GM/Ford/Dodge/Jeep/Toyota/Nissan/Hyundai/Honda/Mercedes/Audi/Cadillac/Volvo....

Worst rentals are Jeeps hands down. I'm 6-5 and the seats/controls just suck. Unfortunately, they always have them available.
Next was Audi, most uncomfortable car I have driven next to the Jeep and could barely walk after 2-1/2 hour stint on the freeway.
Toyota/Nissan/Hyundai are ok, just gutless.
Merc/Volvo/ ok but overrated and can only find them at larger airports.
Ford/GM/Cadillac are my go to rentals if National has one in the executive lineup. Ok power and are more comfortable than most.

Now I can't speak to reliability on any of them, even during Covid and shortly after, the most mileage I have seen on a rental was 39K and that was on a GM and the last 2 I rented had under 50 miles on them but none have left me stranded.

I would have to disagree with a couple of your points. A good friend that I wheel with has a 2022 Rubi and the pro's of the Bronco include:
+way more comfortable seats
+much better on road vehicle manners, especially at higher speed.
+mirrors that stay on the vehicle when the doors come off.
+cleaner dash layout
+much better laid out controls
+accessory switches
+better styling

The cons of the Rubi that you overlooked:
+death wobble
+terrible seats over long distances
+badly positioned window switches
+removable doors take up take up considerable more storage space due to window frames.
+less cargo space
+worse interior features
+NHTSA rates the Rubi worse in frontal and roll over collisions

I should also state the Rubi gets better gas mileage.
Agree with The Poacher. Have owned at least a dozen Jeep Wranglers. Have one Bronco. Will NEVER own another Wrangler - dealership, warranty, delivery issues and the death wobble that will have me forever at the chiropractor.

The CR individual ratings are:

Bronco 37/100
Wrangler 27/100
Gladiator 40/100

For perspective:
4runner 87/100

It hard to explain why the Gladiator and Wrangler have such different ratings. It makes one question the methodology.

This is how CR creates the rankings:

Brands are ranked on average predicted reliability, based on CR member surveys.

Survey response bias much ...

"Based" on these ratings the Bronco is better but I wouldn't be crowing if I was a bronco owner...

Sooo, your not buying a Bronco. Any other wisdom you wish to share?
