The flip sides (to the above post)are:

1. They won't get this, or likely close to it.
2. They'll accept a lot less right out of the gate.

I know this is a hot buttom topic for many and what I'm about to say isn't condoning dealers doing this, but it is the system in which we voluntarily operate in. This is a capitalist economy, or free market economy if you will. Someone is going to make it big and take advantage here. So if dealers don't sell at the "market price", I said the market price not the MSRP, which IS NOT THE MARKET PRICE, then the person buying from a dealer will turn around and sell it to the next person for a profit. In fact, there is plenty of that going around already. I've seen plenty of people already doing that on the forums. I'm not saying I like it, but the MSRP is a fake price anyway, I don't know why people get so wrapped up in that anyway. If Ford made enough Broncos, dealers couldn't mark them up, because they would not be a scare item. Now if a dealer guarantees a price and doesn't honor it later, they are scumbags because they guaranteed the price, but if they don't, then in this terrible system we have, still the best one available, they can sell it for whatever.

My experience, so you can tell me what a moron I am, is this. I bought my Bronco a little over a year ago, for $5000 over MSRP, wasn't happy, but avoided the $10K and $15K markups I saw everywhere else. IT WAS EXACTLY THE ONE I WAS ABOUT TO ORDER....EXACTLY! So I could have been someone that ordered and hoped for the best, nothing wrong with those folks, but if I had, I may or may not have gotten a Bronco in 2023, maybe I would have had to give up certain options and maybe I would be getting one in 2024 for $200 shy of what I paid for mine in 2022 and then I also could have paid an extra 1% or 2% on the auto loan, negating any advantage of waiting. It looked bad last year, but even I thought it might be better this year and you'd see prices dropping. But here we are, a year + later and the prices really haven't dropped much at all, at least where I'm at. And I had to drive 150 miles to get mine, so traveling to get a good deal was fine. Now if you got a Bronco at MSRP, awesome, if you had to give up certain options, trim level whatever to get it, well I don't think you're better off than me. Yep, I paid a little extra, didn't want to, but also wasn't going to settle on a less than what I wanted Bronco. So, your deal was better than mine yep, but deals wear off but I still have the Bronco I wanted, and didn't have to wait two to three years to get it. I paid $51,000 for my Badlands and it had 8 miles on it when I picked it up. I'm still thinking, all market conditions considered, I did okay. I have never...never seen a Badlands under $55,000 anywhere I have gone, dealers, autotrader, Marketplace, never seen one lower. And now every MSRP is over $50,000, so I guess I never will.

Yes ADM's suck, but that's how markets work. Nothing is more important in pricing than supply and demand.

Kendall in AK has been playing this game for awhile. Sounds like almost nobody is paying it. It's absolutely ridiculous they want to continue this crap though. I'm glad I paid 500 over invoice in 2021, sometimes it's all about who you know.

Sure is. And then they will lay out 12% interest on the finance desk and hope that sticks.
I never fight finance on the rate, because I use that as a negotiating tactic.

I then refinance with my CU within a few weeks. I just did that on my Bronco. Went 9.9% to 5.9. I plan on making large lump payments since 5.9 is still too damn high IMO. I’m ok riding out any loan in the 3s.

That’s not the flip side, they are still getting ADM. They say $15k so when they agree to $5k the customer feels like they got a deal but they still got screwed lol. DON’T PAY ADM

Everyone has an opinion on this. None are either right or wrong, and all your opinions constitute what’s called open markets, and supply and demand…., you can pay it, negóciate it, or walk away. Your choice.

Everyone here gets to evaluate what something is worth to them, including what they get paid for their ā€œworkā€.

I waited 11 months for my 22 Badlands. The dealer that I ordered through was selling similar optioned vehicles for $7K ADM for instant ā€œgratificationā€. At 72 years old, it was tempting to negóciate an ADM and not lose out on a year of adventure. My choice, I waited…..

I get your point, but I still see it as the flip side.

I also disagree about ADM. My Raptor will be the first time I've ever paid one. It's quite modest, given the market and it's been entirely eclipsed by in year price increases for which I'm protected. I didn't want to, but realized it is pretty well impossible to get one without ADM.

It's obviously an undesired side effect of people paying ADM that others also will have to. Sorry, not sorry, free market/capitalism...

ADM on Raptors I understand, but people paying $5k more for a Bronco that they don’t just want to wait for is ridiculous. I live in NJ where you can’t find a bronco with a markup under $10k. I ordered one 3/27 with a dealer that honors MSRP for orders and already taking delivery this week. Didn’t have to wait that long and got to choose every option I wanted, and didn’t have to deal with price increases. Yes people paid less a year or two ago, but I didn’t need to order a hardtop lux Sasquatch Wildtrak with all the options, and I got it in under 6 months. And don’t get me wrong I’m all for free market/ pro capitalism, but not for the idiots paying $10k over sticker because they didn’t want to wait for their order and bumping up the prices for everyone else.

People need to get some patience and stop giving into the greedy dealers out there

Yup. I'm in central NJ. Placed an order for a 24 that was going to be for MSRP. Then found one out past State College that was better equipped than my order and under MSRP. Road trip with my dad to pick it up and then cancelled my order the next day.

People that are buying non-raptor broncos for over MSRP are either impatient or lazy at this point

I would let them know the BMF (Buyer Middle Finger) is still alive and well, too.
I got some of that satisfaction today when I finally answered a call from a local dealership that keeps hounding me about bronco stock on their lot. I asked if they were still marking up their broncos, when they said yes I told them I bought fro a local competitor who isn’t doing ridiculous markups, there was an awkward silence, and that was it. Just doing my part! Lmao
