Just recently got my ordered Bronco WildTrak updated to 'Built' status (8/10) -I should have her sit in my driveway by the end of the month.
Anyway that's not really my point for this thread, I've been a huge music fan since the late '70s.. My older brother & sister pretty much influenced my music tastes. Everything from (Believe it or not) Disco to The j geils band to currently Evanescence, But I've always had a love for classic rock.

Bear with me on this, I'm getting to something... at least I think I am lol...

Sadly my brother & sister passed away about 10 years ago about 2 years apart. Anyway, I've been pretty much glued to the music of Amy Lee's Evanescence. Saw her twice in concert (so far), she's a gifted performer, writer, and multi instrumentalist. I realize she doesn't have the popularity of Taylor Swift or Ariana grande, whom I personally think sounds like a car alarm anyway. Popularity (pop music) isn't important to me and I couldn't care less about it- It's whom I have an interest for and what I truly enjoy, not just because everyone else likes it.

Anyway, In my Bronco I ordered the lux package and I heard from some other Bronco owners that The premium B&O sound system isn't really that great, and they've been upgrading the subwoofer. If you have the system what are your thoughts? Did you upgrade? Personally The sound system of a vehicle is Paramount to me and I won't settle anything substandard, I'm already planning on upgrading.

Also jus curious, what's the first song you listened to in your new Bronco? Did you even care? Myself as a music & Bronco enthusiast I feel it's important because it can relate with your new Bronco experience. Most likely I'll be playing as the inaugural song in my new Bronco that I've curiously already named 'Amy'- "Bring me to life'. But this morning Sirius played 'unbelievable' by EMF. That's actually...not too bad.

Hope I didn't bore you too bad, But yeah music is that important to me. Yer turn... 🤘

Congrats! Wildtrack is a nice RIG.

As for music, I listen to everything from classic to hiphop. yes, classical is on my USB in the classical folder.

As for the sound, I have the LUX package, and a softop. The B&O is not horrid, but it can be upgraded if you like your music. What I did was replace the speakers and use dynamat on the sub.
I used Alpine S-S40 in the pods and R-S65C.2 components in the kick and dashboard. I kept the DSP+Amp from the OEM system. It's more than enough to power the system. With the Dynomat, the sub stop rattling, and has more punch. I am happy with how it sounds now.

Thank you big time! You're tasting music rocks.. no pun intended lol. Real music lovers Love all kinds of music, But do have one or two that's really close to their heart. You have no idea how much I appreciate that. I'm actually going to copy and paste your reply, and show it to whomever I get to install my upgrades- let them know I'm not the only one that wants to do this.

I have a 4-door badlands with LUX, hardtop, and BO sound system. From the factory it’s not as bad as what I expected from listening to other people. I did add the stinger tailgate sub, a plugnplay wire harness, and Kicker key amp. That made a world of difference. I used the key amp to pull out the bass where I tapped the factory sub. From there I tuned out the bass on the factory equalizer and it hits all the notes from my music pretty well. I also bought some sound deadening foam off Amazon for the back clamshell and that really helped tame the sub. For me I didn’t really see any benefits in changing out any of the factory speakers. I also have a soft top and I definitely don’t get the same sound with that on (it’s a lot quieter) but still not worth swapping out any speakers. I can’t remember the first song I listened to in my bronco.

Thanks for that! Wicked set up bro, I heard a lot about that tailgate sub. More than likely going to go that route with the upgraded amp. I'm not too really keen on replacing all figures, that's a crapload of work, more than like if I won't do it- but I'll see for myself. I work at f150 assembly yeah Dearborn Michigan where they have the B&O premium in some other higher level trucks. They sound great, then again the cabin is enclosed inside the plant here- optimum conditions. We'll see. Thanks!

Thanks! The only other thing I forgot to mention is that I also used the mountains 2 metal mount that is made for a radio or something and it goes behind your glove box. That with the plug n play harness made for an OEM look that I am not worried about getting wet or anything when the top is off or off-roading.

We're two apples from the same tree brother. I loved it, brought back a ton of memories. I love it so much, I'm adding it to my list- and I'll go even further by saying Ford should incorporate this somehow into their advertising for the Bronco.. similar to what Chevy did years ago for Bob Seger's like a Rock

I listen to rock, hip hop, electronic/dance. I have a 23 wildtrak lux with the b/o and sub. It’s awful considering the cost. If I worked for b/o I would be embarrassed and would not have put the name on it. Everything rattles, the sub is tuned poorly, front is cheap, the head unit has a 3-band EQ with no channel independent settings.

The sub and amp, and head unit EQ are the weakest links.

Mobridge makes a plug-in replacement for the amp/dsp. It’s not cheap but it fixes a lot of the problems with this system. I’m ordering mine in a week but reviews are really good and the vendor is active on this forum and offers a discount.

I will probably be insulating everything when I go to install the dsp/amp. I don’t know if I will upgrade the sub at the same time. I’ll see if the front still sounds cheap with the new dsp and replace item as needed after that.

I would suggest saving your money on the B&O, and upgrade the sound system. With the money you save you will end up with a much better system. Rock on brother...

No one is really arguing that, except people who ordered the lux package- that already includes the b&O premium sound system who aren't really music enthusiasts and don't care for the difference.
The lux package not only includes the b&O, But other decent options as well. From my ford status page:

The Lux package: Incremental to Mid Package and High Package features. • Adaptive Cruise Control • B&O® Sound System by Bang & Olufsen®, 10 Speakers, including Subwoofer • Connected Built-In Navigation1 with 3 Years of Service, Pinch-to-Zoom Capability, Live Traffic, Predictive Destinations and Route Guidance (replaces Connected Navigation contained in the Mid Package) • Evasive Steering Assist • Heated Steering Wheel • Smart Charging USB Ports, Dash Board – One (1) “A” and one (1) “C” • Universal Garage Door Opener • Wireless Charging Pad

Thanks bro... Indeed rock on!
