Are you talking about Metal Tech’s $4k rear bumper? 🤣🤪
For 2800 I can get the APG/expedition one which is engineered like crazy, has room for a rear winch, and looks amazing. Swings WITH the gate and has room for extra cans/etc.

APG notoriously a high ticket item, and to see a 4k tag on a bumper is INSANE.

No doubt. My Bronco is going to be mostly stock because of all the high prices. Little to no aftermarket for me 🤣

When you say "engineered like crazy", is that the winch bumper, where the winch placement sits against the left frame rail and line is centered out the middle of the back, making the winch basically unusable?

I’m wondering who this is marketed to. Not sure even an NFL defensive player would be on board.

Still can’t figure out if rear trailing links is upper and lower or just ???

I’m talking about the expedition one part.

Apg added a winch and a bigger sticker, but expedition one did one hell of a job with that bumper pre-winch. People just tend to know that it’s APG who is tagged all over it in place of expedition one.

Apg added the winch, the only place it would fit, can't really blame them (i guess I'll blame both). It's either the crazy engineering or just the fact that it's just there for looks. I would hope they make it perfectly clear to every buyer before purchase that there is an issue with the location.

What issue does it cause beyond the location being far less than ideal?

I actually thought it was a pretty neat solution, albeit a bit of a hack.

Not sure where you are getting your information from but our rear winch system is fully functional. Yes, we do engineer everything like "crazy".. We believe we placed the winch in the least obstructive location for the 6th gen U725 platform. Front winch is obviously more advantageous for a forward pull through an obstacle but as everyone knows, intercooler location makes that placement obnoxious. Having a rear winch helps counter front engine weight plus it allows you to winch back from an obstacle and try it again which is kind of the point for going Offroad? It also allows you to recover the rig behind you.. No one option is right or wrong as long as a product is engineered and manufactured with high quality, everyone will have a different preference. Stay safe!

It is under the skid plate...OH I see seems not to be centered if that is what you meant.

Photo showing the winch jambed against the frame rail, not in line with the fairlead is from another thread. I would love to see photo's (without the skidplate blocking the view) of how the winch was mounted and the line was strung through the fairlead making it usable. Looking at that photo and knowing the location of the muffler, I don't see how it's possible. It certainly wouldn't be the first time I've been proven wrong.
