This jam nut sleeve provides additional support to the stock or after-market tie rods while retaining close to factory clearance.

Foutz Motorsports machines them in house and then gets them coated in zinc to lessen corrosion, they just released this on their website today.

It's only $80 to prevent the inner tie rod from bending and breaking... it's 100% worth the investment in my opinion, check it out:

Glad to see this released, placed my order. One question comes to mind, will using this sleeve make the steering rack the weak spot now (like how a full tie rod does)?

Great idea but reinforcing the tie rods transfers all the energy to the week steering rack. IMO rack bushings should be seriously considered if reinforcing the factory tie-rods.

You beat me to it but 100% this. Tie rods are cheap, the housing of the steering rack that breaks isn’t

If you are upgrading to the billet rack, you are most likely upgrading to a better tie rod as well that does not require additional fixes.

My understanding is that the Raptor tie rods and steering rack are already upgraded from the regular bronco....
Question......has ANYONE actually broke a tie rod on the raptor??

tie rods are only 14% stronger than base and the rack is still a POS. I know some out west have busted them, but usually it f ups the rack with it.

I think I've heard 1 or 2 mm larger. How is that translated into % stronger? That would take a test or FEA simulation. They also could be a different alloy, which would confound on such % stronger estimates.
