Just noticed tonight when doing a 40 mile trip, some freeway and some town, that my electric fan seemed to be running pretty constant. Outside temp was 93 and engine gauge was showing 196 and tranny 180-184… anyone else noticed this/having similar performance?

I ve just turned over 1000 miles and lots of “new stuff”, etc as I get more miles and seat time. Trying to figure out the pony s habits!!
Thanks

It's been near 100 here for a while and my electric fan is always running when I pull into the garage. My Temps always run near 200 even in cool weather, may even be a few degrees lower now in the heat....maybe because the fan is running. It may default to on when running AC also.

If you’re using A/C, your fan is going to be running. Especially with 93 outside temp.

Thx guys… have to play with it a bit. Maybe shut A/C off and roll windows down.
Probably won’t go a long way like that though 😂 🥵

All of those temperatures you listed are perfectly fine, and technically not even up to normal operating temperature. No need to shut the A/C off, let it blast and ignore the fan.

Yes the temps it’s running are fine I was just more curious if the fan scerenade is standard op and to be expected. Turning up radio will be an option too! 👍

I was a stubborn old fart and didn't own a vehicle with AC until 1989, now I embrace it! Modern AC doesn't hurt power or mpg like it used to. You paid for it use it. Modern engines often run over 200.
