I rather you release your rear fuel tank! Or you post up about those Talons Garage Skid Plates.

Instead why are you bothering with Tibus who absolutely have a reputation of being crap? Did Tibus fix it's issues of semi floating design? I watched the Tibus portals burn at the stake on pirate4x4 years ago why relive the pain?

100% we'll cover this on the show tonight, but in the meantime...

We actually just partnered with Tibus to bring the only bolt-on portal compatible for the "regular guy" to market! (https://broncbustertx.com/products/portals) We'll be installing these on some of our own vehicles very shortly and making some videos, but in the meantime you can read about it in a couple of articles we've written here explaining portal axles and talking about Tibus and their history and pedigree with the product.
IDK that $25k screams "regular guy", but OK

Based on everyone in the jeep world runs bolt on Dana 60 axles now with another $5k in suspension it doesn't seem to out of place lol. We got $100K+ Bronco now...

Oh I agree it's not cheap, I was just making a joke from the prior comment. We are aware that's a hefty price tag but as someone else said when you start comparing it to something like an axle swap or other lift work it may even be a cheaper option. We are working with any customer who is interested in financing options to do what we can if people find this is the right option for them but as I said it's definitely not for everyone.

Really appreciate all the feedback guys. Keep it coming!

We'll cover all of these on the show tonight so join us live if you can.

Questions/thoughts on portals? We know this is a hot topic and the price seems daunting, but when you compare it to all the components you might use to get that kind of lift (which we will do during the show) you might be surprised how close they are in cost.

If you're starting a new build maybe they're a good option, but we're the first ones to agree that every rig is unique and your mileage may vary depending on what you personally want to do with it. We're just honestly excited to see this tech come to market as an option.
What is the difference between 74weld portals and broncbuster portals?

I guess my biggest issue would be for that price tag, the questions @Snacktime raised would definitely scare me off. Yes I am intimately familiar w/the kind of money Jeep guys spend on axles, and you could possibly make a case for that kind of $ based on that, but only if they are reliable...D60 is proven, and serviceable. Parts availability and reliability would be the huge question mark for me

Some red flags, biggest issue is how you don't end up with to much play in the system as that makes gear contact shift. Its like setting gear pattern on a ring and pinion. A bad mesh will last 1-5k miles and a good mesh will last 150K miles.

Absolutely Dana 60 is a greta option. In fact we are a warehouse distributor for Dana and we sell upgrades for Bronco on a daily basis. The question definitely isn't weather or not Portals are better than a D60. The question is what is the best way to gear, add suspension, and maintain ride quality and proper geometry!

In regards to one bad experience with Tibus this doesn't scare me. The question is how has design changed and evolved? Tibus is constantly making changes to make a better product and the competition is still working off from a second generation design. Tibus hs led this industry for twenty years.

74Weld does have a “street” version

Well yes and no. There is a reason you cant buy these yet. The fact is they are still trying to figure out how to make the Bronco electronics happy. Other issues Im sure include the inherent problems with their design on a street vehicle. This design will wine like crazy. No doubt they will someday figure it out but to date Tibus has the only working portals in the US market.

🤔 pretty sure I’ve seen this idea attempted before.

I couldn't agree more. This is what makes the discussion fun. Options are important. What is important to one might not be to the other. Education is the other key. I believe the more we learn about all options the better choice we will make when spending our hard earned money.

How do you plan to warranty and service the Tibus Portals? In house, mail them to the manufacturer or bang on them with hammer?

On to the import stuff, when are you going to make a video of you driving on Tibus Portals? I can hate watch the crap out of that.
