I have a 4 door BadSas. Anyone have any experience with using Dynamat on the cargo floor to reduce the road noise from the crazy tires? I don't want to go the full @1Five1 Garage route of the entire truck, but I'm hoping I'll get positive feedback on the results of just doing the cargo floor. Or, is it a waste of $280?

I would just get a box of Kilmat for 50-60 dollars and make the cuts yourself instead of spending almost 5x the money.

I’m in the process of adding it to my 2 door. I just did the doors today. Going to do the cargo area and wheel wells in the next few weeks.

Agreed! I used around 40 sq ft to do the rear of my 2 door. Just ordered another 36 sq ft for the doors and front. This time I’m trying the Siless pro, which is 50 mil of butyl plus foam (vs just 80 mil of butyl I did i the back).

Yes $280 of dynomat is a waste of money. Spend a fraction on Kilmat. I did my cargo area to kill some of the drone from the Ford performance exhaust. Definitely works. Doors are worth the effort too.

I don't know if it makes a difference, but the Dynamat product (forgetting the custom cut stuff) is a heavier and higher quality sound deadening solution than the Kilmat? Does it result in a noticeable improvement in the noise reduction?

someone posted a question about whether it makes a difference what order you secure the panels. I have noticed a great deal of variation from time to time after removing and replacing. I find that if I really take care of adjust the panels as they're being secured and even jiggle and bounce them to make things all uniform and seated nicely before securing them it can help - but I have also wondered about which order to secure the clamps.

I used kilmat 100mil, and it is so worth it, I was cruising at 90 and I could still have a conversation with the family.

How difficult were the doors to do? I’m contemplating doing it as well. Thanks.

Where did you lay it? I'm running on a Sasquatch package. Those tires SCREAM on the highway. Will covering the cargo area with Kilmat reduce that noise?

Tbh it was very annoying just because the doors are larger than the doors on the 4 door but the opening to the inside part seems to be the same size. So it was very difficult, for me at least, to get the mats into the corners on the inside part of the door. I managed to do it but not sure how well it actually adhered.

I plan on checking it every couple of weeks just to be safe.

I bought 100ml Kilmat on Amazon. Measured out the cargo area. cut for the grommets and tie downs. Whole thing took less than 2 hours. Went for a test drive. Definitely an improvemnt with respect to tire noise. Those 35's scream over 65mph. Thanks to everyone for pushing me to Killmat...cost...$65...not $300!
Question...should I put rubber into the "cooler"...which I will never use as a cooler. I can cut for the drain.
