I have a '22 Wildtrak Sasquatch with a hardtop. A while back, I noticed the roof pieces were uneven height from the passenger side middle to rear section. When I looked inside, the latch was unlatched. Ok, I thought, maybe I forgot to latch it the last time I had it off. I secured the latch and off I went. A few weeks later, I notice the same thing, uneven height on the mating pieces. Sure enough, the latch is loose again.

This has happened on a fairly regular basis now. Has anyone else have this happen? the latch feels tight when engaged, but it seems to work it's way loose over time. Any ideas?

I have the same issue happening - Thought I was crazy given that I was infrequently driving it.

To be honest, I had forgotten about this. The latch has not come loose for quite some time. I did have the entire top off this summer, so maybe it was repositioned slightly when I put it back on.

I’m having the same problem with my 2023 Bronco Wildtrak hardtop roof. The right, rear passenger side, (right above the passenger door) keeps unlatching while driving. I took it to my bronco dealer and all they did was replace the latch. It didn’t fix the issue and it’s still unlatching this day. We’re taking my bronco off-roading in the fall and I would hate to lose my hardtop or have to keep stopping to check it. Attached screenshot of what it looks like after arriving at my destination, it’s already unlatched. If there’s a solution for this, please let me know.

thank you!

I am actually experiencing the same thing and it’s annoying. I remember too I had a recall to replace the rear quarter windows on my hard top since they were known to come loose. Once I got it back from the dealership the rear latch passenger latch that connects to the hard top was not clicked it.

I thought no big deal and clicked it back. Next day it was unclicked again. I did notice it was considerably harder to click than the other ones and probably why it keeps popping out. Almost like there’s an alignment issue.

I went through and removed all the panels and hard top to see if maybe it’s not aligned properly and I was trying to go for the easy win. Unfortunately, After putting the roof back together same thing.

I can actually see the sun rays coming through the corner that isn’t closing properly and concerned water will be able to get in. Anyone experiencing this know a fix?

I have the same issue. My 2024 badlands doing the same thing in the back right. Latch seems firmly turned but after a week or so, I can see sunlight through it. I’ve taken it off and check to see if debris or a factory nut might be in there but everything seems normal. Did anyone figure it out. Help. lol

It’s funny that everyone who reports this is experiencing the exact same latch location (passenger side mid panel latch to rear panel). Mine will unlatch just about every time it’s driven right now. I’m hoping, it’s an extreme heat issue, with outside temps 100-109 during the day. Vehicle is garage parked all the time. I’ve removed all panel and re-seated them, but it still happens.
I’m sure this has absolutely nothing to do with anyone’s VIN so I don’t know why that would matter. I would be curious to see exactly how many Bronco owners have experienced this.

The right rear passenger latch (right above the door) has been unlatching since I bought my bronco 8 months ago. I took it to a ford dealership in May for the rear quarter glass recall and to have them fix the latch issue. They couldn’t figure out why it’s unlatching and they decided to replace the latch. It didn’t fix the root cause. To this day, mine is still unlatching.

A representative from ford motor company responded to my initial post on this forum about that asking for my VIN number as well. I thought for sure the Ford representative was going to actually give me a solution to the problem. All he said was to take it to the dealership again….
