Has anyone else had an issue with the rubber breaking/tearing from the window controls? I just noticed mine, and a complete bottom section came off the driver's control. Half of the passenger is now missing. If anyone has removed the center console, I'm wondering if it's an easy fix.

I have never seen this, so I won’t be much help with that.
However, I do know that the switch assembly just pops out with the help of a trim tool. No need to remove the console.

Is someone violently pulling on that switch?
Nah. Just holding it. My thinking is the friction from letting go vs moving fingers down and then out.

Perfect. I'll just have to order the assembly and replace then.

Although a simple fix I'm sure, why not have the dealership warranty it?
At first I thought about it, but didn't want to worry about them denying it after having it for a week. Plus both times I had them do the front diff leak, it took over 2 weeks. I just looked the part up online and it's $25. I could probably have it done well before the dealership.

That's a lot cheaper than I thought it might be. I wonder if you can have them order the part (under warranty) and you swap it out yourself? No harm in asking at least; I'm sure it's plug & play.

Warranties don't work that way. They have to do the install.

Yep, easy removal and has just one plug harness in the back. I'll just have local dealership parts order it I can have it brand new in no time.

Warranties don't work that way. They have to do the install.
Worked for me recently - I had a Ford accessory that needed a part replaced, and the Parts department had it shipped directly to my house and allowed me to install it myself. The Parts advisor did mention they may have to install it in their Service department, but didn't turn out that way.

It may vary for certain things for sure, and you may be right, but no harm in asking since it's such a simple plug & play.

It was $28 for the entire unit so I just used some of my 300k pass points and it will be here next week. Easier than dealing with the dealership. Still surprise it was so cheap.

I am having this same problem with mine. The driver's side just rolled off with I was putting the window down. Good to know it is a cheap part and easy fix.
