F the 3.0 i'm moving on to the Hoss 4.0 it's only money could get hit by an airplane tomorrow. Cant have my 3.0 butt hurt.

Rack And Pinion Assembly Part Number: NB3Z3504A Ford Bronco 3.0L EcoBoost V6 A/T 4WD Raptor Sport Utility 2022

Gear. Rack. Pinion. Continuous damping suspension/HOSS 4.0 4 door. Part has related components that cannot be reused/ reinstalled; mount bolt and nut. Rack and Pinion Assembly. Valve. Steering.

MSRP: $2,770.00
Discount: $941.80 (34% off)
Sale Price: $1,828.20
Core Charge: $400.00
Not necessarily any better or different, and still subject to potential "do not drive" recall.

Grab up 2 while yer at it and I'll get the programming dialed in on the other one... the steering on the Braptor also talks to the suspension module so that's another hurtle.

At least ford might sell u 1. Or 2

Edit....a Raptor rack was installed successfully and programmed successfully in a regular bronco.

Software should have no issues, it's the same center section? I am pretty sure the raptor is running on 99% the same software and internal hardware.
Short rack should be identical...just tie rods are different (my understanding, haven't eyeballed a raptor rack in person). Could swap tie rods off the bad one, or order seperately

They don't share engineering numbers, so something must be different internally.
I guess we will know how much different once someone tries the swap though.

If it talks to the Braptor's Suspension module, it's at least got different programming, if not a different PSCM board altogether... Might not be so easy to fool FDRS to program it the way we did with Wildtrak VINs...

I agree. I think it'll be more difficult. Maybe not even possible, but time will tell

I agree with most of the posts above and at my age Im happy just knowing how to start my lap top. Just found the Raptor rack online yesterday and got me to thinking, really wanted this done before Moab.

If someone has an active FDRS account all they have to do is type in a raptor vin and check is its the same programing. Since I don't feel the question is worth a $50 subscription I will default to someone else.

On to a different note, I bought a BB bushing to shove into this 3.0 rack. Pictures of stock Hoss 1.0 bushing to Hoss 3.0 bushing coming soon(this weekend if its raining).

Is the 4.0 just two 2.0 racks pushing on opposite sides of the wheel?
That could work, right?
...right?

Maybe silly question but wouldn't just purchasing the bushing and end housing from Bronco buster for your original rack be cheaper and easier at this point? I don't know what size wheels you plan to run but I think he's solution would hold up to normal amd moderate off roading....and could be done before Moab.

hmmm. 2, 2.0 racks coupled in series? or independently operating 1 wheel each? 🤔

@da_jokker we wheeled together last summer when you had your Jeep. Normal and moderate off roading is fun but have been rock crawling more. Will be installing the BB bushing soon as a stop gap for now and will install 3.0 when I can get another one. I want the bigger tie rods that the 3.0 has. Pic is when I picked it up with 37s now that side has so many brush scratches after wheeling this winter with @Snacktime and @SS Bronco.
