Anyone else experience their hardtop not laying flat? Mine appears to be buckling between the middle and front panels and rear section does not align evenly with the rear passenger window. I’ve tried to remove and reinstall thinking something didn’t seat correctly but no luck. After some research here I saw there was a TSB for the front panels not seating correctly but it doesn’t seem to apply to this issue.

Hello- just registered yesterday so I guess this will make a good first post. I’ve had this problem myself, and the solution for me was to tighten the rubber stops on the inside of the hard top panels. I also followed some instructions I read somewhere and loosened the brackets on top and pushed them toward the back to push the middle row closer to the cab, and got rid of the gap in the rubber seal. Hope this helps.

Did you recently remove the whole hardtop? It looks to me that the front and intermediate panels are pinched too tightly together causing the the panels to bow in the center crease. Is the rear section lined up properly? I know there is alignment pins for the rear section.

What I would do is take all 4 panels off, unbolt the whole rear section with no restriction. Then install all 4 panels again possibly allowing the rear section to move back slightly. See if that corrects the problem with them bowing in the center crease. If so secure the rear section in place after you secure the front panels.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had the top off in the summer, I noticed the issue when i put it back on in October. And have just kinda been living with it since. I tried what you suggested this morning , but it didn’t really make a difference. It was definitely seated on the pins correctly. But I wonder if the pins might need to be adjusted.

Hi, nboocock.

My hard top does something very similar. I have it at the dealer now and they are taking a look at it. Did you ever resolve your issues? If so, how?

I haven’t been able to resolve yet. I’ll be Curious to know what your dealer says.
