So I took my Bronco in after I bought it because I noticed that the front panel on the driver side of my hardtop does not sit flush in the middle. There's no leakage or air coming through but I still wanted it looked at. The collision shop at the Ford dealership told me that the weather strip is just firm and will soften over time which should result in the top panel "settling in better". Any thoughts on this reasoning? Also was told that when Ford builds cars some things can be off a bit and that is acceptable to their standards. Basically they have a specific room for error in the build.

Yea...sounds like a great plan. Another design flaw and just wait to see if it looks right. Was it Ford that had the saying, "Quality is Job 1"??

Unfortunately I think they’re all like this in one way or another. If memory serves I’ve seen this or similar comments with B6G many times.

I’d push back on your dealer, your dealers feedback sounds like BS to me, because they can’t change it. Keep pushing back. Good luck.

Update on this one in case anyone else runs into this issue.

After taking it to my dealership, and getting with my sales rep, he was finally able to see in person the panel's not sitting flush. We then drove around the lot and thankfully a few broncos were in. We we noticed some were flush and others were similar to mine. I give him credit because he actually took the time to take the tops off the others that were normal, and put them on to my Bronco to see the fit. This way we were able to see if maybe it was an issue with my bronco specifically. After looking everything over we took it to the collision shop where they said they would replace the weather strip between the two front panels. Just got it back this week and replacing the weather strip did the trick, the two panels in the front now sit flush with each other.

Lesson here for this issue is to definitely push the dealership to make it right. It was covered as well, so didn't cost me anything.
